NFL Power Rankings Week 3: Biggest Movers Following Week 2
Almost all of what we learned in Week 1 about the balance of power in the NFL was completely undone in Week 2.
I know I was sent back to square one. For instance, I had the New England Patriots at No. 1 and the Buffalo Bills at No. 32.
What happens next? The Patriots lose while their offensive line is demolished and the Bills go out and win by 18. Needless to say, both teams have moved closer to the middle of the pack.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
So let's take a look at the teams that made the biggest jump following Week 2 action, and check out my new power rankings below.
Philadelphia Eagles
Last Week: No. 14
This Week: No. 3
After struggling with the Cleveland Browns in the opener, the Eagles followed it up with one of the week's marquee victories as they took down the Baltimore Ravens, 24-23.
They earned the narrow win at home, so it would be easy enough to justify keeping the Ravens in front of them, but I moved them up to three, one spot ahead of Baltimore, based on the thing they are doing the worst: turning the ball over.
They had four turnovers to Baltimore's two, and for the season, they now have nine giveaways to six takeaways.
It is a testament to the Eagles defense that they are 2-0 with their offense already forking over nine turnovers, and while that terrible turnover rate is not likely to continue, the excellent defense is.
If this team stays reasonably healthy, they are going to be a force.
New England Patriots
Last Week: No. 1
This Week: No. 10
As I was watching the Cardinals upset the Patriots on Sunday by bullying them all over the field, I could only laugh at the path the Patriots have taken.
The game was so similar, minus the huge stakes, to the Patriots' Super Bowl win over the Rams following the 2001 season.
A hard-nosed defense hits players on the flashy offense every chance they get and wears down that offense, paving the way to victory.
This Patriots team is going to fall victim to things they used to exploit. They have gone for the flash and forgotten about the bash.
New England has been adding shiny skill position players while its talent in the trenches has dwindled. It will still be a huge factor in this season, but this is not a Super Bowl team.
Chicago Bears
Last Week: No. 7
This Week: No. 16
Last week, I had the Bears at No. 7 and contemplated putting them higher. They looked fantastic in their 41-21 win over the Colts. The improved receiving corps seemed to breathe new life into the offense.
However, I hesitated putting them higher because of the Jay Cutler factor. What is the Jay Cutler factor, you ask? See Week 2, I say.
Cutler has a history of putting up huge numbers to raise everyone's hopes and have it all undone by a symphony of interceptions in games that really matter.
Oh, he is also a bit of a jerk with the innate ability to make his teammates hate him. Things could get real interesting in Chicago before this season is over.
