Here's a quick break down of some of the best moments of next year's schedule.
Boston Red Sox vs. New York Yankees
Baseball's best rivalry will return on April 1 when the AL East's Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees go head-to-head in the Big Apple.
After an incredibly disappointing 2012 season, the Red Sox will have tremendous motivation to come out stronger than ever in 2013. And of course the Yankees are perennial World Series contenders.
The Boston faithful will also be revitalized for a fresh start to a new year for the Sox.
San Francisco Giants vs. Los Angeles Dodgers
The NL West will likely come down to the San Francisco Giants and the new-look Los Angeles Dodgers once again in 2013.
San Francisco's dominant pitching and the big bats of Hollywood look poised to extend their rivalry for years to come.
The two teams will open the season with a series in LA starting on April 1.
Philadelphia Phillies vs. Atlanta Braves
Another highly anticipated NL series scheduled to get underway on April 1 is Philadelphia vs. Atlanta.
The two NL East powerhouses are in the midst of contending for an NL Wild Card berth this September.
Fans and players alike will be excited next spring, though, when both clubs will have the opportunity to get out of the gates quickly and challenge the surprising Washington Nationals in the division.
