WWE Raw: Complete Preview, Rumors, News and More for Sept. 10
With less than one week until WWE’s Night of Champions pay-per-view, the excitement around the show is not nearly as high as it should be for an event of this magnitude.
The WWE has done a poor job building to this event and will struggle to realize why it happened when the show inevitably bombs. Someone needs to introduce this company to a secondary storyline and fast.
The hope from the entire WWE Universe—because we really do love to watch wrestling—is that the powers that be have a go-home show for the ages in store for us, and we will be forced to purchase Night of Champions.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Odds are that will not happen, but there are still plenty of interesting turns the WWE could take Monday night.
Where: Bell Centre, Montreal, Quebec
When: Monday, Sept. 10, at 8 p.m. ET
Watch: USA Network
Bret Hart Returns to the Scene of the Crime
While the return to Montreal for Bret Hart will bring up the conversation about the screwjob from Shawn Michaels and Vince McMahon, this trip back to Raw has nothing to do with that; this is all about getting CM Punk even more over as a heel.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Will Punk attack Hart?
The WWE Universe knows that both men claimed to be the best, so having Punk attack a legend like Hart in his own country and in front of the city that watched him get screwed by the WWE before is the ultimate heel move.
Hype Meter: 5 out of 5 nostalgia pops
Bret Hart is one of the greatest wrestlers in wrestling history, and it is a huge nostalgia pop anytime he is on TV. Add in a possible attack from Punk in Montreal, and this scene could be one fans never forget.
Rumor Mill: Hart ready for a brawl? (Montreal Gazette)
CM Punk and Paul Heyman
After costing John Cena his match last week on Raw and beating him down post-match, CM Punk sent a clear message that things were going to change by driving off with Paul Heyman as his driver.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Did you mark out as hard as I did?
There are few times in wrestling fans' lives when they get the exact storyline they want, one that could change the way they look at the wrestling business. With an allegiance between Punk and Heyman, we may be staring a wrestling boom in the face.
Hype Meter: 4 out of 5 heel stables
Heyman and Punk are both considered two of the best mic workers and personalities in the wrestling business today, so putting them together in a heel conglomeration is the ultimate way to build the WWE champion as the elite bad guy that could stop John Cena’s superman ways.
Rumor Mill: Heyman teases Punk vs. Rock on Twitter (PWMania.com).
A.J. Lee’s Mindset
For as much as the WWE Universe complained about the move of putting A.J. Lee in charge of Raw as general manager, the show has been much more interesting than it was with John Laurinaitis out there every week. Anything A.J. does is better than People Power.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Is Vickie Guerrero going to fight A.J.?
While we should all agree that this is a very bad idea, this will likely be a match at some point, with the stipulation that A.J. would lose her job if she loses the match. As for Vickie, she would likely lose the ability to work with Dolph Ziggler if she were to lose.
Hype Meter: 2 out of 5 unnecessary battles
Guerrero is a great heel manager, and A.J. is doing very well as the GM, but the battle between them does nothing for the fans. If the ultimate goal is to get Vickie away from Dolph, there are much simpler—and less annoying—ways to do it.
Rumor Mill: WWE has been building to A.J. vs. Vickie all along (WrestlingInc.com).
