UNC Will Not Advance to The Sweet 16

I will break this down position by position.

Coach Roy Williams

Anything else think it's pathetic when he sets his coat down on his chair everytime things don't go his way (which i notice happens quite often). I think after loses to Boston College and Maryland, I think UNC should try to find another coach.

With UNC's talent, there shouldn't be as many close games. He should be able to utilize his talent more.

Point Guard

Ty Lawson is a star player. He is clearly the second best player behind Tyler Hansborough. He has stepped up his shooting ability from last year by far; yet he has failed to put up the numbers a top point guard should.

Shooting Guard

Wayne Ellington chokes in big games. He gets the points, but this comes with a lot of shots. An example is in the Wake Forrest game, when he put up 13 field goals and only made 4.

Danny Green is another solid player, but there is a very slight weakness; his fouling. Danny fouled out of two huge games for UNC, the Wake Forrest and Maryland games.

Power Forward

Tyler Hansborough is very ineffective at times.  Though those are few, his team seems to rely on him so much that he needs at least a good game.  Also, he is weaker than power forwards and centers, namely Hasheem Thabeet, and would match up poorly with them.

Deon Thompson is inexperienced and normally in Tar Heel blue his talent caliber would be a bench player.  He is clearly the weakest link in their formula.  He doesn't rebound often enough and he is the reason the Tar Heels rely on Hansborough.

Outlook

This is all relevant because the numbers point to Tyler Hansborough having a bad game.  The inexperienced Thompson won't be able to handle the pressure and support Hansborough. 

Lawson will hold up fine but he isn't the whole team.  Ellington will shoot many shots and have a poor shooting percentage.  Danny Green will foul out.  The bench will hold up, but won't enough to win the game.
