Why Chris Jericho Alone Will Make the Build Up to Wrestlemania 25 Great!

For the last few weeks, Chris Jericho has been in the face of Legends. Not to mention the fact he has called out The Wrestler star and Golden Globe Winner Micky Rourke. And what made it so great was the storylines involved.

See, Rourke wanted to be a part of Wrestlemania, and when he was on the red carpet for the SAG awards he called out Chris Jericho. Now to some you would think he would have called out Randy Orton, Edge, or some other superstar in the company.

But no he called out the arguably best heel in the WWE in Chris Jericho. Jericho was recently on the Bonny Hunt show and set the record straight on the events that went down at the SAG awards red carpet.

He said that Rourke was approached about Wrestlemania by Ric Flair and others. But he called out Jericho, and Jericho himself was shocked by it. Because no one told him anything about what Rourke would do.

He said he was called up by one of his friends, and he told him "Hey man you know Micky Rourke just called you out on the SAG red carpet?" Jericho was not aware. He didn't even know Rourke knew his name.

And then of course he tried to start something with him on Larry King Live. And did it pretty well. But of course on the Bonny Hunt show he mentioned that the character he plays is a heel and people hate him the wrestling world.

Which is significant, because usually wrestlers have to play their characters on shows such as the Bonny Hunt show. Also faces usually are on them like John Cena, not heels.

Of course Jericho is a good guy outside of the wrestling world. Exculding the little incident with a few fans in Canada. But really security needed to be better in Jericho's defense. They were blocking his way out and everything.

But with that said, is Jericho the man to lead us into Wrestlemania 25? I mean he is a best selling author, which means he knows a little something about writing.

I tell you this because all the Legends that have come on RAW and all the stuff they said, was Jericho's idea. He recently told Roddy Piper to do more of a dramatic role instead of his comedic one.

And it was one of the best segments of RAW that week. He also was behind Flair coming to RAW a few weeks back. And even asked about Ricky Steamboat, who is always happy to help out in the WWE.

There will be one every week I'm sure. And there is another huge star supposedly going to be at Wrestlemania 25. But in the weeks leading up to Wrestlemania, Jericho has to be the one to make us excited.

See Jericho has always been great on the mic, which means he can make a good promo look great on TV. He has always been behind the stuff he does, and the heel change was one of his ideas as well.

And really it was a great move to me. Because Jericho not only has won two World Titles in 2008, but was involved in the best feud of 2008 with Shawn Michaels.

With that said he has been on a role for some time now. And has not faltered yet in my personal opinion. And every time he steps into a ring and does a promo with a Legend he makes us even more excited to see what will happen at Wrestlemania 25.

Sure you have the prospect of a Randy Orton vs Triple H match

You also have the prospect of a John Cena vs Edge match

All have done well promo wise to me of course. But the one that has thrown itself forward and caught not just the younger fans, but the older fans attention as well, is the Chris Jericho vs Legends feud.

So I believe that Chris Jericho alone is the guy who can make up the build to Wrestlemania 25 great.
