Jarell Martin: 5-Star Baton Rouge Recruit Cuts List Down to 7 Schools
In June, heavily recruited 2013 prospect Jarell Martin had trimmed his college list to 10. Now, according to ZagsBlog.com, he has narrowed it down to seven. His list now includes Alabama, Louisville, LSU, Oklahoma State, St. John’s, Texas A&M and UCLA.
Martin is a 6'9", 220-pound power forward from Madison Prep Academy in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is ranked the 13th-best recruit in the country by Rivals.com and the fourth-best power forward in the 2013 class by Scout.com. He has great length and can get to the rim quickly for a big man.

""He's one of those lengthy small forward prospects. Has the athletic ability to go get it off the glass, will even make tips at the rim. His perimeter game is of the catch and shoot variety."

Jarrell visited Louisville in January when the school hosted DePaul in the Yum! Center. Coach Rick Pitino loves to recruit long, athletic big men. Martin is planning on making his college choice in the spring.
