NFL Preseason 2012: Most Intriguing Week 2 Storylines
The 2012 NFL preseason is in full swing as we approach the second week of tuneup games before the much-anticipated regular season.
In Week 1, we saw the debuts of Robert Griffin III and Andrew Luck. Tim Tebow debuted with the New York Jets, Peyton Manning played his first game with the Denver Broncos, and the New Orleans Saints won their first game without suspended head coach Sean Payton.
Most people think the preseason is meaningless, but it is where we get our first taste of NFL action and the storylines that come with it.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Week 2 is going to be chock-full of intriguing storylines, so we'll give you a head start and preview some of them here.
New York Giants at New York Jets: Saturday, August 18 at 7 p.m. ET
While the battle for New York was locked up by the New York Giants thanks to a victory over the New York Jets in a crucial Week 16 matchup, a Super Bowl win over the New England Patriots didn't hurt either.
The preseason games are nowhere near as intense, but we'll get our first taste of Tim Tebow versus the Giants and their quarterback-pressuring defense.
The two intriguing rookies in this matchup will be David Wilson of the Giants and Stephen Hill of the Jets. Last week, Wilson ran for 43 yards on seven carries and caught two passes for 23 yards. Hill didn't fare as well, catching just a pair of balls for 17 yards.
There has been plenty of jawing this offseason from both sides, so we'll have to see if anything spills over into this Week 2 matchup.
Seattle Seahawks at Denver Broncos: Saturday, August 18 at 9 p.m. ET
Peyton Manning is obviously the most interesting player on the Denver Broncos this season, and Week 2 will be just our second look at Manning on his new team.
We also may get to see Terrell Owens in action with the Seattle Seahawks for the first time. The Seahawks haven't made any concrete statements saying that Owens will debut, but it would only make sense after his first full week of practice.
We'll also get to see Russell Wilson on the field again. The former Wisconsin Badger threw for 126 yards and a touchdown on 12-of-16 passing. He also ran for 59 yards and a touchdown on three carries.
Cleveland Browns at Green Bay Packers: Thursday, August 16 at 8 p.m. ET
After his less-than-successful debut, Brandon Weeden is in need of a quick turnaround if he wants to win the hearts of Cleveland Browns fans after he was tabbed as the starter. In his debut, Weeden went just 3-of-9 for 62 yards and was picked off once.
To put it bluntly, every quarterback on the team looked better than he did.
The Green Bay Packers don't exactly have a staunch defense, so this could be a game where Weeden puts together a few nice drives.
The Packers have a few guys that you need to keep your eye on in this tilt. One of them is Nick Perry, the No. 28 overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft. Last week against the San Diego Chargers, he had three tackles and a sack in his team debut.
James Starks and Cedric Benson are the other two players of interest. The Packers just signed Benson, so it will be interesting to see if he plays on Thursday. If he does, we'll get our first look at the potential two-headed attack that the Packers could have at their disposal.
