Big WWE News This Week: Releases, Returns, and Mistakes!
For a while I have been known as the guy who has the news that not many others can find. So why stop that trend B/R? There is a lot of news that it to much to do in eight or nine articles.
I could but really you don't want me taking up all the featured articles do you? Anyway it was a big week in the WWE and TNA. From losing Faith in a founder to seeing a former Knockout in the WWE.
Speaking of Knockout, former Knockout Gail Kim is in the WWE as most of us know. This past week a video package was on WWE.com for her to be going to SmackDown. It was a mistake by the WWE, or possibly Joey Styles who runs WWE.com

It was supposed to run on SmackDown next week first, but it was accidentally put on WWE.com and has since been taken off the site. It is pretty cool to know Kim is coming to SmackDown.
Mainly because she could make history as most of us know. She was the first ever TNA Knockout Champion, She has been a former WWE Women's Champion too.
Not one women in the WWE has won the Women's Title and Diva's Title though. So she would be the only one with just the Women's and Diva's Title if she won it.
But to help be the Undisputed best, she was a former TNA Knockout Champion too. That is saying something when you have won every major women's title.
So looks like a good WWE future for Kim in my eyes.
Scotty Goldman has been released this week. He had his final match with Umaga this week, what a way to go out right? Actually this was the first one he has had since he was in the Elimination Chamber qualifier Battle Royal.
He was the first eliminated, but still. Before that he was not on WWE TV for 5 months. He had a WWE.com show, but that was for just a small time. It was helping him get on TV though.
He just wasn't exciting enough for fans, and many in the WWE felt he didn't connect with fans enough. Oh well. He mentioned on his Myspace that he is going home to Chicago, then back to Europe under the name of Colt Cabana, his former ring name.
The WWE of course wishes him the best in all of his future endeavors.
I recently talked to Rory McAllister of The Highlanders. He was on my online radio show, Joe Burgett's The Wrestling Report.
We asked him if he would ever go to TNA, and he mentioned that you don't know what the future holds, but he would if they wanted him to. I expect them to have him use the personality he did with us.
Because if he uses that personality, we could see a star in the making in TNA.
We asked him a good bit of stuff on my show. Check out the archives on www.wildtalkradio.com to see the whole interview. The show is also on tonight at 8/7c, as it is every Saturday.
Tommy Dreamer is in hot water with the WWE. Recently he posted a message on WWE Universe in his blog. He mentioned being a rebel in the company, and other things I cannot mention here.
The WWE was lets just say, unhappy with it. He went on to talk about Miz and Morrison, who are in a small ECW feud with him.
Trish Stratus has finally been reached out to about having one final match at Wrestlemania 25. For a while Jim Ross and others kept our speculations up when she returned in a Toronto show to tag with John Cena against Glamerella.
She did very well in that match, and seemed as if she had not lost a step. We all thought she was asked about it before. But now it has been confirmed by the WWE that she has been asked.
I expect her to do it, since it is one final match and is at Wrestlemania 25. Her opponent is expected to be former Diva's Champion Michelle McCool.
The WWE continues to dominate in Sports DVD sales. They have now had the top spot for about 7 months with a WWE DVD. They already have the top 10. And it looks as if their sales will stay up.
Speaking of movies, John Cena's 12 Rounds will be debuting next Thursday in Australia. It is supposed to be debuting in America around March. The Marine 2 is speculated to be going straight to DVD around Wrestlemania time.
Keeping the tradition going Chris Jericho is in a movie too.
According to www.prowrestling.com
"A new movie titled Albino Farm has been picked up by MTI Home Video to be released on DVD this fall. The movie features WWE Superstar Chris Jericho. He worked on the film while gone from WWE before he returned last year.
Jericho made an appearance on the Bonnie Hunt Show Friday, it will air on syndication this coming Monday"
I have not heard of the movie or what it is about yet, but keep coming back to B/R everyday and I'm sure you will see an article on it.
Former Wrestling Promoter Verne Gagne has been in a bit of trouble this week. I saw a few articles here on B/R about this already. But apparently he killed a guy, or did he?
Gagne got in an argument with a 97 year old resident at the retirement home they both live in. In an act of pure strength, Gagne body slammed the man and broke his hip.
The man died two weeks later, and now Gagne has been blamed somewhat as the guy who made it happen. I can see the idea of it, but really I feel he is innocent myself.
The guy died two weeks later, and he was 97 years old. Not many people live to see 97, I know. A broken hip does cause stress, however not enough to kill a man. Especially under the care of a retirement home.
Medication can help releave stress, so that excuse is out to me. If anything they could have numbed it to where he couldn't feel it.
I think he died of natural causes, not of a broken hip. Just my opinion, not trying to hate on old people.
I talk about all of this stuff every Saturday on my online radio show. I told you about my Highlander interview earlier. But of course we have other things on the show.
So if you like wrestling as I know you do by reading this article. Then come by the show. It is at 8/7c tonight on www.wildtalkradio.com
You can even call in too. We will put a number in the media center where the chatroom is. But if you can't get through we have a new little toy you can use. It is a voice recorder.
You record any questions or comments in it, and we will play them on the show you want it to be on. You can go now and record your voice message if you like. That will give us time to get it on the show.
This has been the latest news on wrestling I can find. I do many articles on just one of these subjects, but if you want more in depth analysis of this go to my other articles right here on B/R.
