ECW: A New Era of Extreme (Week Three)

anonymous guyFeb 17, 2009
Hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome to my third installment of ECW! I sincerely apologize for delaying this installment for so long.
My computer hasn't been my best friend lately, but nevertheless, I am going to do my damnedest to try and wow you guys as much as possible. Thank you for your courtesy!
Now sit back and get ready to be taken to the extreme. Welcome again to ECW: A New Era of Extreme!
The show opens with a video recap of what took place between the Miz and Tommy Dreamer.
Then the screen cuts to what happened to RVD and Jack Swagger at the hands of Mark Henry.
The screen then fades to black as we hear Tony Atlas' voice saying:
Tony: Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce you to the World's Strongest Champion, Mark Henry!
This week's episode didn't open with the usual video and theme song.
General Manager Teddy Long was standing in the ring with the microphone at hand.
Teddy: Thank you for that warm reception and welcome to another exciting episode of ECW!
(The crowd pops big as they are prepared for tonight's upcoming episode.)
Teddy: I had originally planned to go into No Way Out with a show full of superstars who were extreme enough to take this ECW brand to the next level, but as of late, instead of seeing extreme attitudes, I'm seeing evil and vile acts of sneak attacks from one of my top stars.
Yes, that's right I'm talking to you, Mark Henry! Now come out here right now so we can get this whole ordeal over with!
(After about 12 seconds of waiting, Tony Atlas makes his way to the ring.)
Teddy: Now listen to me Atlas. I'm only going to say this once so listen and listen good. I respect you as a Hall of Famer and a great historical in-ring competitor, but what I do not respect is you becoming Mark Henry's towel boy and interrupting me at this time. I...
Tony: That's enough Teddy. As both Henry and I already knew what you were going to say. And we just want to say that... You're welcome!
You're welcome for raising this boring night of ECW's ratings through the roof and making sure these ridiculous fans get to see what they really want to see: MARK HENRY!
(The crowd booes big time for that statement.)
(All of a sudden, Jack Swagger's music plays as he heads down to the ring.)
Tony: I see that you've healed tremendously, but get out of the ring boy because this is grown folks business...
Swagger: Shut-up!
(The crowd pops big time!)
Swagger: I'm sick and tired of hearing the same old song and dance done by you and Mark Henry! I'm the true ECW champion!
I don't appreciate what you two did to me and Rob Van Dam last week and I'm out here to tell you what I, no what we plan to do about it.
(Rob Van Dam comes from out of the crowd and superkicks Tony Atlas! Jack Swagger gets him up and hits the Gutwrench Powerbomb! RVD climbs to the top rope and hits the 5-Star Frog splash! The crowd has become unglued!)
Swagger: Henry! I know that you can hear me, so listen up good! Rob Van Dam and I want you and Tony Atlas tonight in the main event in a tag-team match! So get ready to be taken to the limit!
(Tony slowly rolls out of the ring as Swagger's theme hits and the crowd is on their feet for this newly formed alliance.)
We cut to commercial.
We return as Tony Chimel announces the next match up to be the Elimination Chamber qualifying match.

Elimination Chamber Qualification Match:
Ricky Ortiz vs. John Morrison
Ricky is first to enter. The crowd gives him a semi-pop as he hyperactively comes to the ring. He goes and gives some kid his Ricky O Rally towel. The crowd gives him a bigger pop because of his kindness to kids.
John Morrison is out next to his usual slow-motion entrance as he looks deeply focused and determined. Matt Striker is reporting to us that Teddy Long has banned any and all interferences from any ECW superstar or they're fired.
(This is the main reason why John Morrison looks so confident, because he knows that he is out of harm's way for now.)
Both men lock up as we are set to get this match underway. Ortiz gets the best of the exchange of strength battle and pushes Morrison all the way into his corner. They slowly break as the ref tries to get between the two, but Morrison pokes Ortiz in the eye and he staggers away. Morrison runs up and tries to go for a cross body on the staggering Ortiz, but he reverses it into a powerslam.
(What a spot! The crowd looks to be surprised that Ortiz could pull off such an amazing reversal on Morrison. They are now starting to get behind the Latin Assassin.)
He covers Morrison. 1...2...Morrison gets the shoulder up as Ortiz looks in disbelief. Ortiz stands up and drops a hard elbow on the chest of Morrison.
He then goes to the head of Morrison's body and locks in a headlock. Morrison looks to be fading and the ref begins his count. 1...2...Morrison grabs the bottom rope before his arm hits the mat.
Ortiz lets go and looks to be waiting for Morrison to stand up. Morrison slowly rises to his feet. Ortiz charges to the back of Morrison and attempts a clothesline, but Morrison somehow ducks it and dropkicks Ortiz out of the ring.
Ortiz hits the floor hard as the ref begins his count. 1..2..3..4..5..6..7.. Otiz slowly rolls back into the ring at 8.
Morrison drags Ortiz to the middle of the ring and attempts the standing shooting star moonsault, but Ortiz rolls out of the way. Ortiz gets Morrison up and hits a blackhole slam. Ortiz stands up and taunts to the crowd and looks to be setting up the Big O'.
He bounces off of the ropes and jumps up, but Morrison puts his knees up. Ortiz lands on his knees and looks to be in tremendous pain. Morrison stands Ortiz up and kicks him in the sternum. He hits the "Moonlight Drive!" He goes for the cover 1-2-3! Morrison qualifies for the chamber this Sunday!
(We cut to Mark Henry talking to Tony Atlas, who is nursing his injury from earlier.)
Henry: You need to get yo act together and get ready for some payback. We have Swagger and Van Dam right where we want them so it shouldn't be a problem for us to hurt them so bad they can't compete for the chamber this Sunday!
Then Teddy Long will have no choice but to turn to us and have me and you compete for the title this Sunday. I'll be awarded the title, of course. Ha-ha then it'll be more easier than taking candy from a baby!
Tony: That's right Mark. 'Cause you are the World's Strongest Champion!
We cut to commercial.
We return with Tiffany in the interview booth.
Tiffany: Hi, ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce to you my guest at this time. The "Fighting Irishman", Finlay!
Finlay: Hey Tiff. How are you?
Tiffany: Wow, well I'm great. I just wanted to ask the question that everybody has been dying to ask you: What's going to be goin through you're mind as...(AH!!!!!)
(John Morrison attacks Finlay from out of nowhere!)
Morrison: You'd better be prepared this Sunday Finlay. I'm coming after what's rightfully already mine...THE ECW TITLE!
(Morrison leaves as Finlay rolls back and forth on the floor in pain.)
Tiffany: Somebody please help me! Please somebody help! HEEEEEEELLLLLLLLP!
We cut to Paul Burchill and Katie Lea Burchill in the ring and Paul looks determined to face whoever his opponent is.
(Jimmy Wang Yang music hits as he two-steps to the ring in his regular high energy fashion!)

Singles Competition:
Paul Burchill w/Katie Lea Burchill vs. Jimmy Wang Yang
Both men meet in the center of the ring and Yang tries to shake Burchill's hand, but Burchill delivers a hard slap to the face of Yang! (a la HHH vs. Hardy at Judgment Day)
They lock up with Burchill getting the better of Yang and locks in a headlock. Yang tries to throw Burchill of the ropes, but Burchill never lets go of the headlock. Yang somehow reverses the headlock and locks in the hammer lock on the right arm of Burchill.
Burchill reverses and takes Yang down with an arm drag and locks in a armlock. Yang reverses by fliping around and getting to his feet and doing a hip toss onto Burchill and going for the cover.
1.. Burchill powers out and turns around to lock in another headlock, but Yang pulls out of the headlock and jumps onto the shoulders of Burchill from behind and twist around to the front of Burchill and hits a huracanrana that tosses Burchill out of the ring through the bottom rope.
The crowd applauds the fast-paced action as Katie goes over to check on her brother. We cut to commercial.
We return with Jimmy Wang Yang still in control as we cut to the ECW replay screen. It shows what happened during the commercial break.
(Yang springboards of the top rope and lands a huge splash onto Burchil.)
We cut back as Yang delivers a nice turn kick to the mid-section of Burchil. Burchill falls to his knees. Yang runs and bounces off of the ropes, but Burchill quickly recovers and hits Yang hard with a powerful clothesline. He goes for the cover. 1..2.. Yang just barely gets his shoulder up.
Burchill goes to Yang's head and locks in a headlock. Yang slowly fades as the ref begins to count. 1..2.. Yang finally starts to make a comeback and delivers three elbows to the mid-section of Burchill. He bounces off of the ropes, but Burchill stops him completely with a hard knee shot to the gut. He covers Yang. 1..2.. Yang kicks out again and Burchill gets frustrated.
Burchill gets Yang up slowly and tries to throw him into the turnbuckle corner, but Yang reverses and climbs to the tope rope hitting his moonsault finisher. Katie distracts the ref. Yang goes over to check on the situation while Burchill rolls to the outside of the ring and gets a chair.
He comes back in and tries to hit Yang in the head with it. Yang ducks the shot and dropsaults the chair back into the face of Burchill. The ref turns around and Yang rolls up Burchill. 1-2-3! Its over! Yang upsets Burchill.
As Yang leaves the ring, Katie come into the ring to check on Burchill, but he pushes her down. She looks extremely frightened. Burchill clears his head and offers out his hand to help her up off of the mat.
He hugs her as she hugs him back, but he hits her with a tilt-a-whirl slam to the mat. He gains major heat as he yells at her. We cut to commercial.
We return from commercial as Tony Chimel announces the next bout to be the main event for the night.

Main Event:
Tag-Team Match
Mark Henry and Tony Atlas vs. Jack Swagger and Rob Van Dam
Mark Henry and Tony Atlas is out to the ring first. They come out to a great amount of heat. Mark Henry grabs the mic.
Henry: Shut up and listen to what I have to say, peasants! I am the next ECW Champion Mark Henry! And Every...
(His mic cuts off as Jack Swagger music hits. He comes out to a huge pop! It seems as if Swagger has had a change of heart since Henry attacked him last week and since he done damage to Tony Atlas this week.)
He goes half-way down to the ramp and pauses to shake some hands and give high fives to the fans.
(Ladies and gentlemen, I may be seeing things, but we have the new face version of Jack Swagger.)
Rob Van Dam music hits and the crowd delivers their biggest pop of the night as both he and Swagger races to the ring.
Swagger is in first as RVD comes in second. The ref separates both teams and it looks as if Swagger and Atlas are going to start things off in this main event.
They lock up and Atlas gets the better of the hold by locking in the headlock. Swagger pulls out of the headlock and throws Atlas against the ropes. Atlas comes back and is knocked down by a huge shoulder block by Swagger.
Atlas rolls on the mat and goes over to tag in Henry. Henry slowly gets into the ring with a smile on his face. Swagger charges right at Henry and starts to hit him with rights and lefts. He's wearing down Henry!
Henry is down to one knee and Swagger goes to bounce off of the ropes. Henry recovers and rams right into Swagger taking him down hard. Henry taunts to the crowd as we take our final commercial break.
We return with Henry ramming his shoulder into the sternum of Swagger while he is in the corner. The crowd is actually behind the All American. Henry sets Swagger on the top rope and headbutts him about three to four times.
Henry climbs up one rope. Swagger recovers and hits Henry with right closed-fist shots to the head. Henry staggers off of the rope. Swagger stands on the top rope and delivers a huge missile dropkick to the chest of Henry, but Henry just falls to one knee.
Swagger climbs back up. Swagger jumps off with a diving splash, but Henry catches him and hits the "World's Strongest Slam!" Atlas comes running in the ring and goes straight for RVD, but RVD ducks the attack and kicks Atlas right in the head, completely taking him out.
Henry covers Swagger. 1..2.. RVD makes the save and is really going after Henry. Atlas staggers into the ring with a chair and the ref calls for the bell.
Swagger takes the chair from Atlas and throws him over the top rope. RVD hits the superkick off of the top rope on Henry. Henry is down on his back! RVD goes back up top and taunts to the live crowd: "R...V...D!" He dives off, but Swagger hits him in mid air with the chair.
(The crowd quickly booes Swagger for his actions.)
He just smiles and helps Henry back to his feet. Atlas gets back into the ring and hands Swagger his title. Henry gets RVD up and holds him. Swagger looks to be getting ready to hit RVD with the title.
Wait a minute, Tommy Dreamer runs to the ring! Henry and Swagger exits, but Atlas takes a huge shot to the head with that bat wrapped in barbed wire!
Dreamer helps RVD to his feet and yells to Swagger and Henry. Swagger's theme plays as he and Henry raise each others hands at the top of the ramp as the ECW broadcast goes off of the air.
I hope you all enjoyed that bit. As it took me forever to do, due to technical difficulties. I'm going to try and do my No Way Out match and then my week four matches by Friday.
So pray for me as I do have a lot of work that needs to be done. Thank you and have a great evening!
