It may not seem all that important, but it is. The Summer League is a chance for marginal players to make the roster and for others to improve their standing in the rotation.

*Schedule Subject to Change
Now that you know when to watch, let's take a look at a few teams to keep your eye on over the next 10 days.
Detroit Pistons
The Pistons are already 2-0 in Summer League play, and they're one of the most exciting young groups around. Andre Drummond, Brandon Knight and Kim English form a dangerous trio and they will look to build on that entering next season's play.
Knight is averaging six assists per game thus far, while former Gonzaga star Austin Daye has dropped an average of 18 points in two games.
Detroit is in rebuilding mode, but the presence of its young nucleus will speed up that process.
One name to watch is Kyle Singler. He returns from Europe with a renewed vigor, averaging 13 points per game thus far.
The Pistons will be worth watching. Drummond's development alone will be interesting. So far, he's averaging 5.5 points per game and four rebounds.
Boston Celtics
The Celtics are trying to retool, and their new pieces will get a chance to prove themselves in Orlando over the next 10 days.
Boston's leading scorers so far are E'Twaun Moore and Jared Sullinger. Both are averaging double figures in Boston's two victories.
Dionte Christmas, Kris Joseph and Jonathan Gibson are also doing their part. You'll notice that none o these names end in Garnett, Pierce or Rondo.
That's a good thing. The Celtics need to add to their nucleus and they need their young unproven players to gain valuable experience.
The NBA's Summer League is our first chance to see if Sullinger was worth the risk and if Joseph warranted a second-round selection. We can also check out Fab Melo as he tries to add some polish to his offensive repertoire.
Boston's roster is in limbo, and it will be fun to watch the Celtics work it out.
