Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
At the end of the day, she has to be happy with her career and where she is in life.
Maxine, real name Karlee Perez, has been a part of the WWE for close to three years. During that time she went from FCW to NXT, with sporadic appearances on Raw.
Perez's character really hasn't grown much since her debut and was becoming stale. She did what she felt was best and asked for her release. The choice makes total sense, especially with the state of the Diva's division and the rumored return of Kelly Kelly.
In the end, she should be happy that she achieved her dream of being in the WWE, and now, she can switch her focus to her next passion.
