WWE News: Rey Mysterio's Return Will Be Boost WWE Desperately Needs
With the WWE preparing for a big couple of months—between Raw 1,000, Money In the Bank and SummerSlam—the company is in need of a shot in the arm to get things off the ground in a way that gets fans excited.
Enter Rey Mysterio.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Mysterio's 60-day suspension ended earlier this week, and he is coming back very soon (via Wrestle Zone):

"F4Wonline.com is reporting that the plan is for Mysterio to return next week to television. Reportedly, Mysterio will return to a big push likely leading to a SummerSlam match."
The WWE needs a lot of star power right now. Beyond John Cena, there is a proverbial wasteland of nothing to get the fans excited. Even Cena has been adrift in goofy, kiddy comedy that appeals to the nine-year-olds who apparently are the only ones who watch Raw.
Mysterio, while not exactly a new star that everyone says the WWE should push, will at least be something vastly different than what we have been watching for the last few months. He won't have the same effect on the show that Brock Lesnar did, but at least he will feel new and fresh.
It sounds strange to say that someone who has been in the company for a decade is new and fresh, but we have to remember that he hasn't worked a match in 10 months. In wrestling terms, that is like being off for two years.
With recharged batteries and a new, apparently big push being set up for him, Mysterio should be better than ever. He does wrestle a WWE style, but he is still very different from what anyone else does.
Instead of seeing the usual, relatively slow-paced matches we get with Cena, Big Show, Kane and others, fans can look forward to seeing the high-energy, up-tempo style that makes Mysterio so unique in the WWE world.
It will be great to have him back, regardless of whatever his push turns out to be.
