Sweden vs. England Live Stream: Online Viewing Info for Euro 2012 Match

Wes ODonnellJun 7, 2018

England hasn't performed well against much of anyone in international competition, but Sweden's been one of their tougher opponents.

The Three Lions come into this pivotal Group D match hoping for a similar, yet better, performance than they put forward against France. They executed their game plan, earned one point of Les Bleus, and are now in prime position take three points off the Swedes if they can put everything together.

Sweden surprising dropped their opening game to co-host Ukraine and are now backed into a corner. Led by AC Milan man Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the Swedes are a dangerous offensive team that should bring down some fire on the England back line.

Group D is going to go down to the group finale, but this result in this match will play a key role in who advances and who stays home.

Where: Kiev Olympic Stadium, Ukraine

When: Friday, June 15 -- 2:45 PM ET

Watch: ESPN 2, ESPN Deportes, International Coverage (via LiveSoccerTV.com)

Live Stream: ESPN3.com

Player to Watch: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, England

The 18-year-old Arsenal star is the most creative player the Three Lions have. With Wayne Rooney still suspended, coach Roy Hodgson is hoping to spring counter attack fervor with the likes of Ox and Manchester United teammates Danny Welbeck and Ashley Young.

Young and Welbeck will work through the middle mostly, but it will be on Ox to pressure the defense off the wing with his pace he'll look to make more than just a few dribbling highlights in this match.

If he can start creating more opportunities (England only took five shots against France) it will go a long way. Welbeck is a proven finisher and Steven Gerrard will gladly take free kicks all day if Ox can earn a few calls with his playmaking ability.

Key Matchup: Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Sweden vs. John Terry, England

Terry may no longer be England's captain, but he's their man in the back and will be tasked with blanketing Sweden's captain and top goal-scoring threat.

Ibra is cunning player who knows when and where to make runs and can finish just about any ball. Fortunately, Terry is no spring chicken and he knows all about the 30-year-old striker.

Look for this to be able all game long and Terry, who is notorious for losing his cool and doing stupid things from time to time, has to keep his emotions and head in check if his nation is going to sneak away with a win here.

Prediction: England 2, Sweden 1
