Why Kane Will Win the WWE Championship in No Way Out 2012

Nathan GieseJun 7, 2018

With No Way Out coming to us this Sunday, it's time to start looking at the bigger picture in the WWE, which includes CM Punk, Kane and Daniel Bryan as they battle in a triple-threat match for the WWE Championship.

The company would like us to think that John Cena vs. Big Show in a steel cage match, with John Laurinitis' job on the line, is the big story here. But in reality, and as it should be, the WWE Championship is the bigger story here.

Three of the top workers in the company will be in the same ring at the same time—and will have a steamy little side show outside of the ring to keep them all a little preoccupied.

Of course, I'm talking about A.J. and her toying with Kane while never being able to hold back her joy at being around Punk, "one of the coolest guys she's ever met."

Bryan, of course, is her ex, which makes this also a battle for love.

With all of that riding on the line, Kane will walk away as the WWE Champion by the end of the show.

Kane's history of falling for a pretty face is well documented, with his past relationships with Tori and Lita, making him the perfect target for A.J. as she continues to play her mind games.

Kane, however, is a master psychologist in his own right, making the pairing rather unusual and downright strange—but very entertaining.

Kane has been mentally tormented by A.J. for the past few weeks, especially last night on Raw after she kissed him in the middle of the mixed tag vs. tag match. Kane left the ring and Daniel Bryan to fend for himself.

Now that the big red monster is in somewhat of a love blur thanks to the "nerd" A.J., he will be more determined than ever to capture one last WWE Championship before his career ends.

The last time Kane won the most coveted prize in the company, it was in rather dysfunctional fashion, winning a first blood match against Stone Cold Steve Austin while still wearing his full body suit and mask—as well as having Undertaker's help.

It only lasted one day as Kane lost the title back to Austin the next night.

Since then, Kane has had successful runs with the ECW and World Heavyweight Championships, but has never had that WWE title run to cement his name among the all-time greats.

Yes, if Kane were to win the championship, it certainly wouldn't be a long run, as he is slowly becoming the WWE's past, while Punk and Bryan are the present and the future.

However, a one-month reign with the title, up until Money in the Bank, would be a nice way to help send Kane off into the sunset and down in history as one of the best to have ever stepped into the squared circle.

Also, A.J. could play a pivotal role in the match. She has stuck her nose into a number of Punk and Kane's matches over the past number of weeks—and was also the original reason Bryan lost his World Heavyweight Championship to Sheamus at WrestleMania.

She has a reputation as someone who gets involved when it's not needed, and that could play in Kane's favor come Sunday.

Some may not agree, but giving Kane one last run with the big title is a nice thing to do. While it may not be the right time to do so, putting the title on Kane is a good way to honor someone who has done so much for the WWE throughout his entire career.

Kane will walk away as the WWE Champion after No Way Out, and now you know it.
