No. 1 Contender Alberto Del Rio Potentially Shelved for No Way Out
With Randy Orton, Chris Jericho, Brock Lesnar, and Rey Mysterio all but out of the picture, a new rumor has emerged about former WWE champion Alberto Del Rio.
According to wrestlinginc.com:
"There are unconfirmed reports that Alberto Del Rio may have suffered a bad concussion at Tuesday's SmackDown taping, and could possibly be pulled from the No Way Out pay-per-view on June 17th. Del Rio is currently scheduled to face Sheamus for the World Heavyweight Championship at the event.
F4WOnline.com noted that Del Rio's presence at tonight's SmackDown house show in Maryland should confirm or thwart the rumor.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
As of this article, there has been no update as to whether or not Del Rio performed Saturday night. Ultimately, if this rumor is true, the WWE will have less than a week to come up with a potential suitor to face Sheamus.
To me, there are really only two obvious choices.
The first, Christian, is the current IC champion and former World champ, so he has been to the dance and can handle the spotlight.
The other, Cody Rhodes, just recently dropped the IC title and could easily slide into a storyline with Sheamus. Especially considering that Rhodes plays an amazing heel, and the WWE won't find a better time to see if he's ready for the next level than now.
After those two choices, all you really have left that makes sense is The Miz, Dolph Ziggler or Jack Swagger. All three have held main-event gold and are desperately looking to get back to the top. Granted, whoever replaces Del Rio will not likely beat Sheamus for the title.
All right, now that you've got the scoop, it's your turn to weigh in. If Del Rio is indeed injured, who would you like to see Sheamus defend the title against at No Way Out?
