WWE Raw: Why Hunico Needs a Mask and How He Can Get One

I'll come right out and say it. Hunico needs a mask.

In case you don't know who Hunico is, he's a cholo who comes out to the ring on a pimped-out bicycle with his homie Camacho. 

Before Hunico became a cholo, he was Sin Cara Negro, an impostor Sin Cara who accused the original Sin Cara of stealing his previous identity while wrestling in Mexico.

The two Sin Caras feuded for a while and eventually had a mask vs. mask match—where the loser would be forced to unmask. Hunico lost his mask (and honor) and became what he is now: a cholo. You can read all about cholos here.

Since unmasking, Hunico has not done anything very memorable. It also doesn't look like Hunico will do anything memorable anytime soon.

On WWE.com, Hunico's bio reads,

Now with his face uncovered for all to see, this high-flying Superstar looks to leave his mark on the WWE landscape. Powered by his proud Mexican heritage and an extensive background in the art of lucha libre, Hunico appears poised for big things in the ring.

Whether he is soaring off the top turnbuckle or arm dragging his adversary to the ground, he has a full arsenal of electrifying maneuvers.  Acrobatic, athletic and lethal, Hunico is eager to prove to the world that mask or no mask he is a dangerous opponent for anyone in WWE.

Hunico is definitely acrobatic and athletic, and he also has an arsenal of electrifying maneuvers, but there's a problem.

Cholos aren't acrobatic and athletic, and they certainly don't have an arsenal of electrifying maneuvers.

"Orale homes, look at my arsenal of electrifying maneuvers." No!

While cholos aren't known to be acrobatic or athletic, luchadores are. Also, luchadores usually wear colorful masks, not bandanas. Therefore, perhaps Hunico should get his mask back and have a gimmick that matches his style.

People often excuse John Cena for his limited move-set with the argument that his gimmick requires him to have a limited move-set. Cena can't be doing 450 splashes. It just doesn't match him, right? So, why does Hunico have a gimmick that doesn't match his move set?

I didn't write this just to complain. I have an idea that can give Hunico his mask back.

Tensai likes to spit green mist at his opponents' faces, right? So, how about we have a match between the acrobatic and athletic Hunico vs. the slow and powerful Tensai?

During the match, Tensai should have trouble catching the faster and smaller Hunico. But let's give Tensai a chance to slow Hunico down by having him spit his notorious green mist in Hunico's face.

Let's pretend that after the match, Hunico can't get the green mist off of his face because it's a special-edition green mist or something. Due to the fact that he can't get the green mist off his face, Hunico could then try to hide his face by wearing a mask.

Problem solved. Hunico the luchador is back. So long, Hunico the cholo.
