Linebacker Brett Wade pledged his commitment to Aggie head coach Kevin Sumlin. The 6'1", 212-pounder is rated as a 4-star prospect by 247Sports.com and as the No. 15 inside linebacker prospect in the country. If he wants play inside in the SEC, he will have to put on some weight, but he's athletic enough to play at other spots if needed.

Also headed to College Station is Jordan Points from Rockwell, Texas. Points is a 6'3", 255-pound defensive end that's rated as a 3-star prospect by 247Sports.com. He has played both defensive tackle and defensive end in high school, but he projects as a defensive end in college.

The Aggies now rank fifth in 247Sports.com's 2013 team recruiting rankings.

Georgia stayed hot as well, getting the commitment of 4-star offensive guard Brandon Kublanow. The 6'2", 290-pounder from Walton High School in Marietta, Ga., chose the Bulldogs over SEC offers from Florida, South Carolina, LSU, Tennessee and Vanderbilt.

Last week, Arkansas got the commitment of pro-style quarterback Austin Allen. This week, they got a commitment from fellow pro-style signal-caller Tyler Cogswell. Cogswell is a 3-star quarterback from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., according to 247Sports.com. The 6'5", 221-pounder has the stature and the arm to be successful in the SEC.

Vanderbilt hopped on the quarterback commitment train with the pledge of 6'4", 190-pound quarterback Chad Kanoff. Kanoff is a 3-star prospect from Studio City, Calif. Kanoff has a big arm, and will contend for early playing time in Nashville.

South Carolina is racking up defensive commitments and continued that trend this week with the commitment of linebacker Matt Rolin. Rolin is rated as a 4-star prospect by 247Sports.com and is the No. 7 prospect in the state of Virginia. He can be a big-time force as an outside linebacker in Columbia.

Also headed to South Carolina is 5'11", 177-pound defensive back Ali Groves. He's a 3-star prospect, according to 247Sports.com, and is rated as the nation's 41st ranked cornerback

LSU head coach Les Miles plans to use the tight end more in 2012, and help is on the way in 2013 in the form of Northeast Mississippi Community College tight end Logan Stokes. The 6'3", 240-pounder has the frame to be a big-time threat down the seam for the LSU offense.

Also headed to Baton Rouge is 4-star offensive guard Ethan Pocic from Lemont, Ill. At 6'7", 280, Pocic is an imposing figure that can step in and contend for playing time early once he arrives on campus.

Big Cat Weekend paid off for Auburn yet again. Arshad Jackson, a 6'6", 240-pound tight end from Lovejoy High School in Hampton, Ga. committed to the Tigers over the weekend. He's rated as a 3-star prospect by 247Sports.com, and chose the Tigers over SEC offers from Arkansas, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Missouri, South Carolina, Tennessee and Vanderbilt.

SEC newcomer Missouri jumped on the commitment wave this week with the pledge of 6'4", 220-pound defensive end Marcus Lord. Lord is a Houston-native that chose the Tigers over offers from Mississippi State, Michigan State and Colorado, amongst others.

News and Rumors

Georgia recently hired former Grayson (Ga.) High School assistant coach Daryl Jones to be its director of on-campus recruiting, according to Michael Carvell of the Atlanta Journal-ConstitutionIn case you forget, Grayson High School is also where defensive end Robert Nkemdiche—the nation's No. 1 overall recruit—plays his high school football.

Could it be a ploy for the Bulldogs to land Nkemdiche? That remains to be seen; but my colleague Michael Felder and I recently debated the likely landing spots for Nkemdiche on Bleacher Report's Full Ride.
