Oregon Football: 5 Things We Cannot Wait to See in the Fall

Joe PenkalaJun 4, 2018

With the summer months upon us, fans can start to think about the fall that lies ahead. As we wait through the months filled with baseball game after baseball game, the anticipation of the return of college football grows stronger and stronger.

As we continue to wait for Oregon football to come back in September, here are five things that Oregon fans cannot wait to see when the fall finally arrives

A Packed Autzen Stadium

1 of 5

Autzen Stadium has become known as one of the loudest stadiums in the nation. Fans come from all over to fill Autzen to the brim screaming, "Ooooooooooooo" as loud as they can.

This year, the Ducks start out with five of their first six games being at home, and it will be a perfect opportunity for the newly named started for the Ducks to ease into their role and get comfortable playing in live game action.

The Ducks Cheerleaders

2 of 5

Along with Autzen Stadium, the Ducks have become well known for the amazingly talented and beautiful girls on their sidelines. The Oregon cheerleading squad has been receiving attention nationally for quite some time now, and this year will be no different.

While the time in between quarters or timeouts can seem like an eternity, the Ducks cheerleading squad is more than happy to help pass the time.

The Duck

Well the cheerleaders are great, the Duck has become the main focal point off the field. For the past few seasons, the Ducks mascot has begun to receive a ton of publicity and has been a favorite of ESPN.

Whether it is watching him match the Ducks points with push-ups, or getting the crowd going, the Duck will always be a fan favorite

Tailgating

4 of 5

One of the best sites on game day is the view from the parking lots in Oregon (although the view of the parking lots after the game are a nightmare). As you walk around Autzen Stadium, tailgating is found all over the place, and it is a great place to help kill time before the Ducks get ready to tee up the ball.

A Chance at Four Straight

5 of 5

More than anything, this season offers the Ducks an opportunity to go for their fourth straight conference title. Since taking over the conference throne in 2009, the Ducks have not looked back during this three year span.

With the resurgence of USC for this season, this will be the toughest test, but also the most regarding title the Ducks have a chance of winning.
