A's Yoenis Cespedes Likely to Be Activated Friday, Will Manny Ramirez Join Him?
The Oakland A's are in desperate need for some offensive help and they might be a bit closer to getting their main power threat back in Yoenis Cespedes.
Not only might they activate Cespedes but they are also considering bringing Manny Ramirez up over the weekend. It would be a couple days after he is eligible, but it still might be a positive for the A's.
John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle reported the news:

"Quite possible Cespedes and Manny could be activated for series in KC next weekend. #Athletics

The move with the most impact will be activating Cespedes, however.
Before being sent to the DL, Cespedes had five home runs and 21 RBI in 28 games for the A's. His moonshot home runs were a constant threat to the opposition.
Cespedes will begin a rehab assignment on Monday, meaning that with the A's off-day on Thursday, his activation will likely happen on Friday when the A's take on the Kansas City Royals.
The A's could use the production from Cespedes. Any production from Ramirez will be a pleasant surprise for Oakland.
