Indy 500 Live Stream: Updated Online Info to Watch Prestigious Race

The Indy 500 is upon us, and the racing world is abuzz with excitement. The expected record heat and the back-stories surrounding the 96th running of the Indy 500 should make this year's race one of the most memorable in history.

Team Penske is going for their 15th win in the historical race and their fourth-straight Indy car win this season.

The team has pole-sitter Ryan Briscoe and three-time winner Helio Castroneves to augment their chances of taking the top podium spot.

This race is about more than just Team Penske.

Third-generation racing star Marco Andretti is looking to capture the title that his legendary grandfather, Mario, only won once, and his father, Michael, never won. Marco had seemingly captured the family's second title in 2006, but Sam Hornish Jr. stole the victory away from him in the final seconds of the race.

It was just another heartbreaking loss in a long list of disappointments for the Andretti family at Indianapolis. 

Coincidentally, 2006 was the last time an American won the race. As the best American hope, Andretti is not only carrying the hopes of his family, but also the hopes of a nation.

That is a ton of pressure for one driver. Can he rise to the occasion?

My mind says: no, he can't. It seems the heat, the pressure and the overall quality of Team Penske will be too much for Marco to overcome.

We'll have to wait and see, but my money (figuratively speaking) is on Castroneves.
