UFC 146 Results: Final Predictions on the Fight Night Bonuses
Tonight, the UFC unleashes its first ever all-heavyweight main card, as UFC 146 goes down in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The main event features a matchup between Junior dos Santos and Frank Mir with the heavyweight title on the line. In addition to that fight, there's Cain Velasquez against Antonio Silva, Roy Nelson against Dave Herman, Stefan Struve against Lavar Johnson and more.
Many may also be excited about the prelims on FX, featuring Diego Brandao, Jason "Mayhem" Miller and Edson Barboza, among others.
Let's take a look at who could be walking away with some extra cash from a fight night bonus.
Submission of the Night: Jason 'Mayhem' Miller
1 of 3Jason "Mayhem" Miller comes into his fight with C.B. Dollaway saying that this is the most important fight of his life.
Mayhem released a video detailing his training leading up to the fight, and he has made it clear that he doesn't feel that Dollaway belongs in the cage with him.
Dollaway has shown a tendency to get submitted in the past—just ask Tom Lawlor or Amir Sadollah if you don't believe me.
Look for Mayhem to get Dollaway down and submit him with ease.
Alternate Options: Stefan Struve, Paul Sass and Frank Mir
Knockout of the Night: Junior Dos Santos
2 of 3This one can't be much of a shocker, right?
Junior dos Santos has the most ferocious hands in the heavyweight division, and he has finished 11 of 14 opponents with his striking.
Meanwhile, Frank Mir has been on the receiving end of some bad knockouts, and the odds are not stacked in his favor going into his fight with JDS.
Alternate Options: Dan Hardy and Lavar Johnson
Fight of the Night: Edson Barboza vs. Jamie Varner
3 of 3This lightweight matchup promises fireworks, as an up-and-comer, Edson Barboza, faces off against a former WEC lightweight champion, Jamie Varner.
Barboza has an unblemished record of 10-0 in his career, including four wins in the UFC, three Fight of the Night bonuses and a Knockout of the Night bonus.
Adding to that is the fact that Jamie Varner has never been knocked out in his career, so he should be able to handle anything Barboza can throw at him.
Terry Etim was able to say the same before he fought Barboza, though...
Alternate Options: Diego Brandao vs. Darren Elkins and Roy Nelson vs. Dave Herman
