Liverpool: Remembering the 2011-12 EPL Season (Game 10/38)

Liverpool traveled to The Hawthorns to play against former Reds manager Roy Hodgson's West Bromwich Albion. 

The match heaped pressure on manager Kenny Dalglish, as his side came from two consecutive draws—one against a side that had been written off even before the match had started.

To lose to Hodgson would have put Dalglish under further scrutiny, but the traveling Kop were not to be disappointed. 

Liverpool started the game strong, putting pressure on the Baggies' back four. Suarez had a chance to put the visitors up in the early stages of the match, but his control was poor.

Suarez, however, undeterred by his mistake found himself in the penalty box after a quick one-two play with Glen Johnson. As the Uruguayan jostled for the ball, Jerome Thomas appeared to push him to the ground. 

Referee Lee Mason had no choice but to point to the spot.

Charlie Adam stepped up and the Reds were up a goal against Hodgson's team. 

Suarez pestered the defenders and was unfortunate to net a goal, but Liverpool's No. 9 stepped up just before the half to put the game out of reach for the Baggies.

The Liverpool back four looked comfortable, helping Pepe Reina maintain a clean sheet and winning 83 percent of their tackles.
