WWE Smackdown Preview: SPOILER-FREE Preview of This Week's Episode (May 25)

Drake OzMay 24, 2012

How many people reading this article actually watch Friday Night SmackDown without reading the spoilers first?

I have no idea.

However, if you actually like to be surprised by what you see on SmackDown (but still like to know what you’re getting yourself into), you’re in the right place.

WRESTLING: OCT 02 AEW Dynamite/Rampage Pittsburgh
Monday Night RAW

Here is a SPOILER-FREE preview of the May 25 edition of Friday Night SmackDown.

Eve Torres Promo

What better way to start the show than with one of the hottest women in wrestling?

John Laurinaitis’ sidekick will address the WWE Universe to get things started, and I certainly have no problem with that.

Christian vs. Hunico (Non-Title Match)

The new Intercontinental champion and newly baby face Christian has his first match on SmackDown since last November.

It’ll be interesting to see how the crowd reacts to him (piped-in cheers anyone?) because the fans seem to be adjusting to him as a face rather quickly.

Darren Young and Titus O’Neil vs. The Usos

The tag team scene is shaping up pretty nicely on SmackDown, and both of these duos are playing a big part in that.

Young and O’Neil lost their first match as SmackDown stars last week, but you have to think that the winner of this bout could position themselves for a shot at the WWE tag team titles down the road.

Ryback vs. Two Local Competitors

Will the winning streak continue?

Santino Marella vs. Ricardo Rodriguez (Non-Title Match)

This match stems from what happened between these two on Monday’s Raw.

I wouldn’t exactly expect it to be the best match of the year, but it should be full of comedy.

Sheamus vs. Jack Swagger (Non-Title Match)

Swagger steps in the ring with the world champion for the second time this week.

After what transpired on Monday’s Raw, one would assume that Sheamus won’t be in a great mood.

Damien Sandow vs. Yoshi Tatsu

The last time this match was supposed to happen, it didn’t. Instead, Sandow laid a brutal beatdown on Tatsu.

Will Sandow finally wrestle his first WWE match this time around?

Big Show Promo

Big Show cuts an in-ring promo to address his recent heel turn and his actions as of late.

The WWE fans absolutely hated him on Raw—will that remain true on SmackDown?

Main Event: Alberto Del Rio vs. Kane vs. Randy Orton

Three of SmackDown’s top superstars collide in the show’s main event.

Will more than just a W be on the line?
