Manny Pacquiao: PacMan Will Finish off Timothy Bradley Early

Ben ChodosJun 7, 2018

Manny Pacquiao is out of Timothy Bradley's league and will quickly knock out the challenger on June 9 in Los Vegas.

Bradley hopes to take Pacquiao's World Boxing Organization welterweight title away from him, but simply does not have the experience, skill or power to do so. Even though Pacquiao has successfully retained the welterweight belt against three different fighters, Bradley still remains supremely confident.

"

I have good footwork. For Manny, he'll be looking at himself when he sees me. The only advantage he has on me is his power. But I can go to the body if he gets reckless. I'm young, in my prime, and I have a lot of confidence and swagger. I don't fear this guy. He's just a guy to me. He hasn't proved he's better.

"

Every fighter must go into a bout thinking he can win, but Bradley's claim that he's as good as Pacquiao is arrogant. The Filipino fighter has beat guys like Oscar De La Hoya, Shane Mosely, Antonio Margarito and other top boxers in his weight classes.

Bradley, in contrast has fought none of these big-names. He is not used to the type of speed and power that the champ will bring to the ring.

Pacquiao, 33, has 54 wins in his career, with 38 of them coming by knockout. The 28-year-old Bradley is 28-0, but with only 12 knockouts.

Pacman has consistently proved that he can go up against the best fighters in his division and go all 12 rounds. In his most recent fights, he has outlasted Margarito, Mosley and Juan Manuel Marquez to win by decision. But he's also proved, against fighters like Ricky Hatton, that he will end the fight early if the competition is not up to par.

Pacquiao has conclusively demonstrated that he’s better than Bradley by going up against the best and beating them.

These accomplishments appear to be lost on Bradley. In the same Los Angeles Times article, Bradley describes himself as "underdog." He is giving himself too much credit with this title. He is just there to pad Pacquiao's win-total, in hopes that Floyd Mayweather, Jr. will finally agree to fight the welterweight champion.

Bradley has had some good showings against a lot of average fighters so far, but he is far too confident going into his fight against Pacman. He has never fought anyone close to Pacquiao's caliber, and his cockiness is not doing him any good.

Bradley will not last long once he goes up against the champ.
