Is WWE Courting Sting by Using His Image More and More?
Sting is famous for many things—being a top flight wrestler, having a gimmick which has gone through many positive changes and being one of the biggest names to never wrestle for WWE.
Sting made his name in the NWA/WCW era and he stayed loyal to WCW through thick and thin, and when I say thin, I mean rice-paper thin. Sting is someone who was basically the heart of WCW during its highs and lows. He always put forth a great effort, even if he was in a terrible storyline.
Currently Sting is signed to a contract with TNA, but those don't last forever. It is no secret that many WWE fans have longed for the Stinger to make an appearance in a WWE ring.

It seems as if WWE is doing a few things recently to let Sting know that they are aware of his contributions to the business. This could be viewed as WWE making an effort to sign Sting sometime down the line.
On the upcoming Best of WCW Clash of the Champions DVD, Sting is featured on the cover in a moment taken from one of his many iconic matches with Ric Flair. More recently, WWE.com put up a list of the top 50 WCW superstars, and guess who topped the list? Sting.
By giving a TNA talent this much credit, WWE is doing two things—putting a feeler out there to see if Sting is interested and proving everyone wrong when they said WWE would never give credit to someone who worked for a rival company.
Sting is a lock for the WWE Hall of Fame sometime down the line, but there are those who feel that he should have at least one bout in WWE's ring before he deserves that honor.
A match with The Undertaker has been on the wish list of many fans for years and if Sting ever does come to WWE I am sure that will be high on the list of possible uses for him. As a long-time fan of wrestling I would be ecstatic to see Sting show up in WWE, even if it was as a GM or manager.
He is a talent who is worth more than what TNA can give him. He deserves all the credit we can give him for doing his best to help the company when it first got going. It is no secret that TNA has not found the success they hoped they would have by now.
I truly believe Sting will someday be on a WWE show in some capacity. Do you think Sting will ever be in the WWE, or is he someone who is destined to be Vince-free his whole life?
