Breaking News: Ric Flair and TNA Wrestling Parting Ways?
Ric Flair has had a long history with problems outside the wrestling ring, and his issues may now cost him a job.
According to PW Insider (h/t Wrestling Inc), Flair's conduct outside wrestling has caused a crossroads between himself and TNA Wrestling.
It may not be long until the official word reaches that Ric Flair has been released by the company.
Flair, 63, was one of the company's largest talent acquisitions in 2010, regularly shown on television and featured in a few wrestling matches.
Unfortunately for Flair, his run might be up in TNA.
The report shows that Flair has been in a number of incidents around the Orlando, Florida area including being banned from drinking at the Hard Rock Cafe along Citiwalk at Universal Studios.
Rumors are also heating up that Flair has been unable to pay his way and that TNA management received calls to cover the rest of his tab.
In addition to his struggles to pay for his own tab, Flair reportedly caused an incident at a hotel TNA uses and the company pulled him out of recent house shows and the final television tapings before Impact! Wrestling goes live on May 31st.
Troubles began in 2011 with TNA Wrestling when Flair had a meltdown on a United Kingdom trip, causing the wrestling legend to miss a show.
Flair returned the next day and apologized to the TNA locker room.
The report also states that Spike TV has requested TNA on numerous occasions to have Flair not be near nude on television, to keep his clothes on and not bleed at his age.
The report also shows that several people in the company say Flair has not been worth the high price tag, as he has not shown to draw any ratings or money.
Just before joining TNA, Flair, who left the WWE in 2009, was sued by Ring of Honor for not paying back an advance to them and also got into more trouble with High spots.
Recent word has been spread that Flair was done with TNA this past weekend but nothing has been confirmed as this story continues to develop.
