Devils vs. Rangers Playoffs: Game 4 TV Schedule, Live Stream, Odds and Analysis

Tom Urtz Jr.May 20, 2012

The New York Rangers took Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals 3-0 against the rival New Jersey Devils just like they did in Game 1.

After two scoreless periods, Dan Girardi opened the scoring in the third, Chris Kreider followed up with a deflection and Ryan Callahan netted an empty-net goal to seal the deal.

The Devils were very aggressive early on in the game and that was illustrated by their shots on goal. However, the Rangers were able to capitalize on the Devils’ inability to capitalize on scoring chances.

Players to Watch in Game 4

Chris Kreider (NYR)

Kreider has been on fire against the Devils so far this series, and he has registered two timely goals for the Blueshirts thus far. Kreider is really starting to look comfortable on the ice and is now playing like the top-six-player the Rangers need in their lineup.

David Clarkson (NJD)

Clarkson was a huge factor in Game 2 against the Rangers because he threw his weight around and was a pest around the net. Look for Clarkson to be on top of Lundqvist all night in an attempt to create traffic and rebounds for the Devils to capitalize on.

Goalie Matchup

Henrik Lundqvist

| 10-7-0 | 1.57 GAA | .942 SV percentage | three SO |

Brodeur made 19 saves in a Game 3 loss against the New York Rangers.

Prediction: Rangers Win 3-1

The Rangers are due for a big win in Game 4. With the chance to go home up 3-1, the Rangers will come out hard in the first period and will set the tone early instead of sitting back and letting the Devils to dictate the pace.

Henrik Lundqvist will come up huge again, and the Rangers will head back to Madison Square Garden with a chance to claim the Prince of Wales Trophy in Game 5.
