Mickey Rourke's Out: Enter Flair vs. Jericho at Wrestlemania 25

Ronnie BryceFeb 2, 2009

Well another week, and yet the story of Mickey Rourke vs. Jericho has made another twist and turn again.

Or as Jericho would say, "AAAAGain."

WWE confirmed last week that Rourke's publicist is indeed correct and Mickey will not be wrestling Chris Jericho at Wrestlemania.

Most likely because Mickey's people told him it would ruin his Oscar chances.

So after watching Monday Night Raw on Feb 2, I can only come to one conclusion:

Flair vs Jericho Wrestlemania 25. Mark my words.

Oh and all the "old timers" legends will be ringside in a lumberjack match backing up Flair. This is WWE's only resort now that Rourke pulled out.  Rourke apparently likes getting people upset and pulling out of things prematurely.

Just ask Evan Rachael Wood.

He made out with his co-star Evan Rachael Wood, and maybe more, and then he goes on to say on Larry King he doesn't have a girlfriend unless he's drunk.

Which of course pissed Wood off, because she replied "He's too old for me anyway"
Really could had fooled me the way both of them were playing tonsil hockey the other week after the Screen Writers Guild Awards.

So we can all blame Mickey when come Wrestlemania Ric Flair comes out of retirement and faces Chris Jericho to defend his name and all the legends honor.

Mickey will be there, or so WWE and Mickey says. As now Mickey claims he will be there to lend his support to the other wrestlers.

Kind of ironic, yet kind of sad in a way.

Never trust a guy who's face has had more surgery then Joan Rivers and who had left acting to be a boxer.

As for Flair then—the irony isn't lost me that Flair, who had a grand send off and retirement match last Wrestlemania, since then was asked to be released by WWE shortly thereafter so he could pursue the high pastures of free enterprise.

As a result Flair purued his dreams of charging $100 for an autograph at various places such as Chickie and Pete's in South Philly, and a high school in Levitttown, PA.

Ric also managed to squeeze in an altercation with his daughter's abusive boyfriend outside her apartment complex.

The result was Flair was bloodied and battered and his daughter was arrested for resisting arrest.

It seems Mickey Rourke's character in The Wrestler and Ric Flair are running parallel lines right now.

And if WWE cant get the fictitious wrestler, they'll settle for the real one.

The difference between Flair and Rourke, of course, is Rourke likes to disappoint and say no and Flair will emphatically say yes and "Wooo" to anything—if it gives him the chance to be in the spotlight one more time and make some more money.

The funny thing is I actually want Flair to beat the living hell out of Jericho.

It's also good for everyone if Flair comes back to taint his retirement last year.

With today's volatile economy there's money to be made for everyone.

I'm sure Jericho will receive a hefty bonus for getting his butt handed to him by Flair.

Flair will get the much needed payday to keep his Styling and Profiling lifestyle going.

And then there's people like you and me.

If the Custom Retirement Ric Flair figure sold for a good penny last year on Ebay, I can only hope The Comeback Flair figure will fetch even more.

Which reminds me I better go to AC Moore and get me some paint, and Toys R Us for the discounted "Best of '08" Flair figure.

God love free enterprise

Woooooo!
