WWE over the Limit 2012: Which Match Will Steal Sunday Night's Show?

Justin WatryJun 7, 2018

Over the Limit is presented on pay-per-view tonight. The hype has been below average, but the matches do look promising. Let's take a look at each match and how it could go...

Layla vs. Beth Phoenix

I think Layla will retain her title but this match won't go long. Right off the bat this has no chance of being match of the night. Sorry! The countdown to Kharma returning continues...

Ryder vs. Kane

Again, this can't be given a chance to succeed. It is on the preshow. These two could put on an amazing contest but it won't matter by Monday morning. They are there to get some extra buzz for the show so I hope it works out.

Tag Title Match

Kofi Kingston is a great talent. R-Truth is a good guy to have on the roster. Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler are former World Champions.

If you want a real long shot at match of the night, look for these four! The tag belts will be on the line so I do expect some time given to this segment.

Johnny vs. John

No.

John Cena is always entertaining as is Big Johnny. Sadly this will be more of a "story" than an actual match. Right or wrong, this likely won't be match of the night.

It could be story of the night though.

World Title Match

Sheamus vs. Randy Orton vs. Chris Jericho vs. Alberto Del Rio may steal the show. It is a four-way for the World Title so you know the audience will be invested.

That does help the match. While I doubt the title will change hands, you have four great wrestlers ready to put on a show. If the next match is not the match of the night, watch out for this!

WWE Championship Match

Yes, my expectations are high. They may even be too high. I don't care. If you say you are the best in the world for the past decade you two better come through and back it up.

CM Punk and Daniel Bryan have their opportunity tonight. For the WWE Title you can't get any bigger for these two talents. Both are wonderful wrestlers and have fans on their side.

I believe this will be match of night—it has to be!

This match could go to a 60 minute draw. It could end with AJ helping Bryan win. I could easily see Punk winning clean in decisive fashion.

In the end it does not matter. The world will be watching (and hopefully paying for) this match and it 100-percent must impress everybody.
