Bayern Munich vs. Chelsea: Blues' Defense Will Be Exposed in UCL Final

Chelsea's UEFA Champions League dreams will be smashed on Saturday against Bayern Munich because of its defense.

Branislav Ivanovic and John Terry are forced to miss the final because of suspensions. That leaves Chelsea in major need of big-time performances from players who aren't accustomed to playing on a stage as big as the one on Saturday.

That's not the only potential downfall, however. According to ESPN, Ryan Bertrand will make his Champions League debut.

Talk about pressure.

Gary Cahill and David Luiz will fill in for Ivanovic and Terry in the back against a high-powered Munich offense led by Mario Gomez.

Gomez led Munich in goals scored in the Bundesliga with 26. Arjen Robben and Franck Ribéry will take advantage of the perimeter by stretching the Blues defense. Both scored 12 goals a piece and both can create off the dribble unlike many in the world.

Robben is the biggest difference maker. His pace and ball control are superb, and it's always great to see a fantastic player who doesn't get worthy recognition get an opportunity on the biggest stage.

Expect a prolific performance against his former club.

Prediction

I'm expecting at least three goals from this final. Bayern Munich will press the issue with its talented offensive weapons and Chelsea will be forced to match the intensity and firepower.

Chelsea's defense will break twice in defeat.

Bayern Munich wins 2-1.
