WWE Over the Limit 2012: Start Time, Live Streaming and PPV Info
The WWE’s 2012 Over the Limit Pay-Per-View Sunday, May 20: It's time to get ready for the show by breaking it down from every angle imaginable.
This card isn’t overly impressive, but it’s the PPVs with the lowest expectations that seem to be the best. With that justification in place, let’s just try to enjoy the show!
We've got Daniel Bryan vs. CM Punk, so fans shouldn’t complain.

Main Event Preview and Prediction
John Cena vs. John Laurinaitis
Let’s start off by saying that there is almost no chance that this match isn’t setting up for a huge run-in from some currently-unemployed WWE superstar. The only question remaining now is who will be the star that will cause Cena to win.
The three most common names thrown around have been Brock Lesnar, Big Show and even Batista.
With the recent rating struggles for Raw, my gut wants to say Batista as a way for WWE to swerve the fans. This is all set up for Big Show to help Johnny Ace win over Cena to get his job back, but having Batista return would be great publicity and a good swerve.
A John Cena loss is almost 95 percent certain, but how he will lose is really anyone’s guess at this point. My gut still tells me it will be the Big Show that comes out and eventually helps Johnny Ace win.
Prediction: Johnny Ace
What They’re Saying
Chris Jericho took to Twitter to squash the rumors that he will be leaving the WWE after Over the Limit:
"Hey Alex Giannini, heres an idea-shut your effen mouth and stop spreading BS rumours. bit.ly/J1a8NR yfrog.com/ocrlgxqj #notleaving
— Chris Jericho (@IAmJericho) May 18, 2012"
WWE’s generic female authority figure Eve Torres took to Twitter to generically defend her boss:
"Despite what anyone may say, I have 100% faith in @WWERawGM at Over the Limit. He's the man in power for a reason. #PeoplePower.
— Eve Torres (@EveMarieTorres) May 15, 2012"
Nationally-syndicated radio show Ring Rust Radio offers the fans of WWE’s Over the Limit some listening material before the PPV gets started Sunday:
"With @WWE #OvertheLimit Sunday, get ready by checking out @RingRustRadio with stars like #JBL, #DDP, #AlSnow & more! bit.ly/u6OlPs
— RingRustRadio (@RingRustRadio) May 19, 2012"
Undercard Match to Watch: CM Punk vs. Daniel Bryan
Call it what you want: co-main event or undercard, but CM Punk vs. Daniel Bryan for the WWE title will be the best match of the night. Possibly even the best match in WWE this year.
These two men have known each other for over ten years and have fought too many times to count. As two independent fighters that broke into the WWE and are now having success together, this is their perfect chance to get each other over with the crowd.
Punk and Bryan will leave everything on the mat on Sunday.
With the WWE setting this up to fail by giving it almost no time or any real placement or storyline, this will be the best worked match in the WWE in 2012 whether or not the fans can appreciate it is another story.
Prediction: Daniel Bryan with help from AJ
