WWE.com has updated its previous report regarding Rosa's accident and the news is good. According to the site, Rosa was released from the hospital and suffered only whiplash.

Mendes was actually a passenger in her friend's Hummer and they were the last vehicle impacted in a chain-reaction collision.

My neck and back were really hurting, Rosa said. My body is my job. I was so scared that I was not going to be able to wrestle. I was in a lot of pain.

I want [the WWE Universe] to know that I'm OK and I'm alive, Rosa said. I'm grateful to be here because it was really, really scary.

There has been no indication as to when Rosa will be allowed to return to action, but she has been instructed to rest and is expected to make a full recovery.

The photo of Rosa's Dodge Ram on WWE.com shows a ton of front-end damage, and it is being reported that another vehicle struck her at 50 mph as she was sitting at a red light.

Rosa had become a much more prominent character in recent months as she went from making infrequent appearances to being the manager of Primo and Epico. She guided her squad to the WWE Tag Team Championships as they defeated Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne at a house show.

Primo and Epico lost the titles to Kingston and R-Truth just a couple weeks ago on RAW, but they, along with Rosa, signed with AW's All World Agency. The team has been biding its time while it decides when to cash in its automatic rematch clause for a chance to get their titles back.

The 32-year-old Mendes has been with the WWE since 2008 when she debuted as a fan of Beth Phoenix. She was later hired as an intern by Phoenix and Santino Marella. After that angle, Rosa was given the role of Zack Ryder's girlfriend and valet on ECW.
