WWE over the Limit 2012: How Will CM Punk Pay Tribute to Randy Savage?
Today marks the unfortunate anniversary of "Macho Man" Randy Savage's sudden passing after a heart attack while driving a car near his Florida home.
Fans from all across the world looked to pro wrestling to see what tributes would be done. WWE released a compilation of his greatest moments and many superstars mentioned the loss in their own special ways.
As for CM Punk, he decided to take it to a completely new level.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
On the Raw following Savage's death, Punk wore attire that emulated what Savage used to wear in the ring. From the yellow knee pads to the pink trunks with white stars and his name on the rear, it was a very fitting tribute.
Punk even began trying to do Savage's patented elbow drop from the top rope, complete with standing completely straight at the top rope. It was a moving tribute and gave Punk a lot more fans and respect from the business. Keep in mind that this was done when Punk was supposed to be a heel. Punk was still the head of the New Nexus at that time.
Now, one year later, CM Punk has gone through a lot of changes. He has turned face, threatened to leave WWE forever, returned after a short hiatus and won the WWE Championship twice.
Punk is still WWE Champion and is slated to face Daniel Bryan, adding another chapter to this rivalry that began in the independents.
Bryan and Punk are considered to be two of the greatest technical wrestlers in the entire world. Once upon a time, Savage was considered to be one of the best in the world as well. While never being quite as technical as Punk or Bryan, Savage could deliver with a fantastic match practically on demand. His most popular match would be the perfect tribute at the one-year mark of his death, which leads me to my idea for a tribute to Savage.
If Daniel Bryan and CM Punk can have a match tonight that pays homage to Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat and "Macho Man" Randy Savage from WrestleMania III, it would be so incredibly appropriate.
Back at that event, Savage and Steamboat had one of the greatest WrestleMania matches of all time in one of the first true show-stealing moments from the undercard in WrestleMania history. As the world remembers Andre the Giant getting slammed by Hulk Hogan, the actual best match was between the "Macho Man" and "The Dragon."
Bryan and Punk are incredible workers and, given the time to do so, can put on incredible matches. Just look at their fights from just a few months ago, when both men were holding world title belts. There was never a clear winner in the ring, but the fans watching certainly felt like winners.
There aren't a lot of matches scheduled for a three-hour pay-per-view tonight, so there is a chance that Punk and Bryan face one another, take time to tell a story in the ring and finish with an actual winner.
Just like WrestleMania III, the focus will be on John Cena and John Laurinaitis, while the best match of the night will be CM Punk and Daniel Bryan.
