Colorado Rockies Deal with Terrifying Bee Invasion
Ahhhhhhh, bees.
The Colorado Rockies had to deal with life's necessary evil on Thursday afternoon in a scene that makes me cringe.
The Business Insider reported on the issue with screen grabs taken from the Root Sports broadcast of the Rockies taking on the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Here is the first image of bees out for a nice afternoon at the park.
The second image features the cameraman basically saying, "F- this noise." He calmly walks away from the invasion, whereas I would be weeping like Blake Griffin after incidental contact.
Back up a little and you can see that the bees have honed in on the corner post, which in bee terms must be very sexy.
Finally, we get to image No. 4, which is the most terrifying and altogether puzzling.
The Rockies players are laughing and carrying on without a care in the world. I don't care about coming off as less of a man, because I have never claimed to be otherwise.
I would be miles from that dugout by this time.
There are only a few things I hate more than bees: spiders, heights and the fact that HI-C no longer makes Ecto Cooler.
Bees may be the lamer Chris Bosh version of wasps, but they can still do some damage to a wonderful barbecue, walk in the park or day by the pool.
It seems they can also screw up a perfectly good game between the Rockies and D-Backs. Am I alone? Sound off with your biggest fears—bees, insects and LeBron James shooting free throws are all fair game.
