Bayern Munich vs Chelsea: Key Battles That Will Decide the Match
Chelsea may not be favored in Saturday’s Champions League final, but if they win a few key matchups, they are certainly capable of walking away with the title.
The two clubs played each other back in the 2004-05 quarterfinals, when Chelsea ended up winning 6-5 on aggregate, with five of the Blues' six goals scored by players who are still members of the squad.
With Bayern looking to secure their fifth European Cup, here are the three most important battles to keep an eye on.

Arjen Robben vs. Ashley Cole
These two are quite familiar with each other from playing together at Stamford Bridge, and it should be very compelling to watch them battle.
Robben has been playing spectacularly on the right side this season, but there aren’t many wide men that get the better of Cole.
If Cole is able to show him down the line onto his right foot, he’ll win the battle.
Easier said than done.
Anatoliy Tymoschuk vs. Didier Drogba
Drogba has been a memorable figure for Chelsea this season, with one cup final-winning goal under his belt already.
He needs to isolate the veteran Tymoschuk, who will likely be positioned at centre-back. Sure, he is a grizzled veteran, but his natural position is in central midfield and the physical pounding that Drogba will deliver is going to be difficult to overcome.
This is a matchup that will heavily favor Drogba, and Chelsea could steal the win if he has a big game.
Bastian Schweinsteiger vs. Frank Lampard
Schweinsteiger is one of the best conditioned athletes in the sport, and running Lampard ragged will be his goal. His box-to-box style will not be affected by the absence of holding midfielder Luis Gustavo. Then again, Lampard has the luxury of having two stars in Michael Essien and John Obi Mikel sitting back when he looks to break forward.
This is a flip of the coin, with the winner likely residing on the team that captures the victory.
