John Cena: Divorce Won't Affect WWE Star's Persona in the Ring
Did anybody see Monday Night Raw tonight?
John Cena was in rare form, ragging on John Laurinaitis for everything from his raspy voice to his back-stabbing ways of conducting business.
The last thing on his mind was divorce…or at least that’s the impression he gave fans.

It’s no secret that Cena has recently filed the paperwork, and WWE fans are wondering if this will have any sort of affect on how he acts in the ring.
Monday Night Raw was all the proof you needed.
He was laughing, looked loose and seemed genuinely excited to “rise above” Laurinaitis this weekend at the PPV event Over the Limit.
Anytime a wrestler lands in the tabloids, the creative team behind the scenes completely ignores it. They don’t add fuel to the fire by acknowledging it at a WWE event. When so many of the wrestlers uttered the phrase “WWE universe”…they really mean it. It’s almost like a cult following that doesn’t recognize that a world outside WWE exists.
It’s rather obvious that Cena loves the WWE universe, loves the attention (both negative and positive) and would never let anything in his personal life get in the way of his job. More than any other wrestler in the sport, Cena seems to genuinely care about his fans and how he represents himself for the company. Considering he made his debut back in 2001—it’s understandable why.
In today’s information age some fans were worried if Cena would get heckled by Raw’s Pittsburgh crowd, or by the fans at Sunday’s Over the Limit PPV battle in North Carolina. Nothing out of the ordinary happened at all in the Steel City, and it’s highly unlikely that will change on Sunday.
You would have never guessed anything out of the ordinary was going on with Cena, and don’t expect things to change anytime soon.
The WWE universe is in a bubble and that bubble doesn’t include star wrestlers going through a messy divorce.
