Canadian Lacrosse Brawl Is Most Vicious Sports Throwdown in a While

Welcome to Canadian lacrosse. It's like little league, but with different equipment and more punching in the face. 

This video was apparently passed onto the good people over at Deadspin in the form of an email. What they have ascertained is that this is a Canadian Intermediate A-Team game. 

That means the boys involved range in age from 16-18. 

At some point, the game between the Coquitlam Adanacs and Nanaimo Timbermen went from competitive, to violent and straight on to, "There is no way the moms in the stands will be giving out orange slices after this game."

I don't mind that we have no clue as to what started this mess, because I am ecstatic we get to see the culmination of what must have been a fairly chippy game. 

The only thing I know about Canada is that they subsist on maple syrup and all their cops ride horses. While none of that may be true, I can safely say their amateur ranks are a tad tougher than ours. 

This is a proper brawl with most players opting to fight one on one rather than mob just one individual. I can really respect rules and decorum in a time like this. 

My favorite part of the video is the dad who says in his best I'm too cool to care voice, "Enough, guys." 

Hey, way to end the melee with one half-hearted show of effort. 

That's not what really bothers me, though. After the fight, both teams go back to their benches and look prepared to leave the court.
