According to a plethora of sources, including this report from stlouis.cbslocal.com, Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster plans to make the Rams May 1 counteroffer regarding proposed upgrades to the Edward Jones Dome public today.

As quoted in the above-linked article, St. Louis Rams Chief Operating Officer Kevin Demoff said the following recently:

"

The goal is we’re trying to keep these things confidential to make an agreeable deal with the CVC and make the arbitration easier for everybody but hopefully these people will like what we’ve come up with and enjoy it.

We’re proud of our proposal, we spent a lot of time and effort on it.

"

I will have much more regarding the Rams counteroffer when the details are available.

In the meantime, as I have pointed out previously, the St. Louis Convention and Visitors Commission started with a low offer, as expected.  The Rams offer will likely include everything, plus the kitchen sink.

As is the case with most negotiations, there is absolutely nothing that should be surprising to anyone about that.  That is simply a starting point to begin working towards a middle ground.

Of course, both the chicken little group and the conspiracy theorist group will be making it much more than that, sadly.

Rams Completed Rookie Mini Camp Sunday

One of many reports that have emerged following the conclusion of the Rams weekend rookie mini camp and orientation comes from former NFL executive Tony Softli for 101sports.com.

In this piece, Softli shares quotes from head coach Jeff Fisher and other insight regarding the 2012 St. Louis rookie class' first taste of the National Football League.

In the above-linked article, Softli explains why he liked the looks of things at Rams Park this weekend, including the flow of on-field work that was performed.  Softli clearly liked rookie receivers Brian Quick and Chris Givens.

A second camp recap came from Nick Wagoner for stlouisrams.com.  Wagoner shares a plethora of information and gleanings from the recently wrapped up rookie introduction.

Among other things, Wagoner feels that the Rams may have found a couple of promising young safeties over the weekend. Safety is a position that St. Louis could certainly stand to add quality depth.

Tons of Tidbits from Ron Clements of CBS Regarding Rams Rookie Camp

Please check this via Ron Clements of cbssports.com for a plethora of information regarding the aforementioned Rams rookie mini camp.

Clements shared a ton of terrific updates about several Rams rookies including Brian Quick and Janoris Jenkins, updates from Jeff Fisher, details related to the Rams instillation of the playbook and much more.

Clements will be joining STL Rams Central Radio on Tuesday night once again.  More information on that available in Tuesday's "News and Notes at Noon."

Pro Football Weekly Reports That Only Three Rams Wideouts Are Considered Locks

According to this report from Pro Football Weekly citing an unnamed insider from the Rams, the only locks for a roster spot at receiver are rookies Brian Quick and Chris Givens, along with veteran Danny Amendola, who caught 85 passes in 2010 during Sam Bradford's rookie year.

The unnamed Rams source also reportedly shared this information:

"

If Steve Smith is healthy, I’d expect him to be the fourth guy. But, after that, it really is up in the air between Brandon Gibson, Danario Alexander, Austin Pettis and Greg Salas. I really was starting to like Salas before he got hurt (he broke a leg in November). He reminds me of a bigger Amendola.

NFL Network Report on St. Louis Rookie Camp

Rapaport seemed to like what he saw.  Among other things, he was impressed with wide receiver Brian Quick and cornerback Janoris Jenkins.

He also shared observations on rookies Michael Brockers and Isaiah Pead in the aforementioned report.

Jeff Fisher and Les Snead Changing the Culture at Rams Park

St. Louis Post-Dispatch columnist Bryan Burwell shared a terrific piece regarding the changes that have occurred and continue to be implemented at Rams Park under the new regime, led by new head coach Jeff Fisher and new general manager Les Snead.

Among other things, Burwell looks at how things have loosened up at Rams Park and how the regime has already shown a strong willingness to bring in players with checkered pasts.

Fisher and Snead share several thoughts regarding the evaluation of players with troubled or questionable backgrounds and how to help them going forward.

Nick Wagoner Likes What He Sees From Rams Rookies

Stlouisrams.com senior writer Nick Wagoner shared a great recap of the first day of the Rams rookie camp here.

Wagoner posted his thoughts on several players and what caught his eye from day one, including what surprised him about Brian Quick and how the 2012 Rams will be a much faster team than the one we witnessed during last year's 2-14 campaign.

Have a great day as always, STL Rams Nation.
