Drew Brees Will Sign: Stop the Panic Who Dat Nation
This weekend starts offseason team activities (OTAs) over at Saints headquarters in Metairie. OTAs begin with rookie mini-camp these next few days, but the real drama will begin the first weekend in June when No. 9 isn't under center.
Except for the fact that there shouldn't be drama.
When was the last time that a championship was won in the offseason? Ask Philadelphia how that turned out last year.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Is there surprise that contract talks have basically been "non-existent," according to Mike Triplett of the Times-Picayune? A little bit, but until training camp opens and he's not there, I wouldn't worry too much about his contract status.
The point is that this panic that has spread across NOLA is all for nothing. Drew Brees is a 33-year-old quarterback who is at the peak of his game, but he is also a 33-year-old quarterback that will be entering his 12th season in the league. Let the man rest in the offseason, so he can stay fresher and healthier later into seasons and also his career.
So, don't stress out and hang on every Brees rumor out there, Who Dat Nation. Brees will eventually sign the richest deal in Saints history and will continue to add to his Hall of Fame credentials while wearing the Fleur-de-lis on the side of his helmet. When he does sign, it will free up cap space to extend other players like Sedrick Ellis, Malcolm Jenkins or Jimmy Graham.
Now, doesn't all of that sound like it's worth the wait?
Let's exercise a little bit of patience, Saints fans, and trust in the most successful front office in team history.
