WWE Rumors: Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar Would Trump Brock vs. John Cena

Brian MaziqueMay 10, 2012

Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena was great at Extreme Rules, but Triple H vs. Lesnar would be an even more entertaining match. There are rumors that the match is being put together for an upcoming pay-per-view.

As of now, Paul Heyman has announced that Lesnar has quit the WWE, but no one expects that to stick. We're just waiting to see how Lesnar will be brought back.

Check out Heyman's speech here:

Lesnar vs. Cena had a savage quality to it, and that fit because it took place at Extreme Rules. But Triple H's great matches have excellent pace and drama. He allows you take in the moment and the impact of his—or his opponent's—last maneuver. It's a lost art in wrestling that is underrated and underappreciated.

He is one of the most versatile in-ring performers I've ever seen, and he proved that he's still got it at WrestleMania against The Undertaker. With ample time to come up with the proper angle and events surrounding their clash, the match itself could be great.

Lesnar should be using this time to get himself in great shape physically. He could stand to upgrade his appearance to something closer to the monster WWE fans saw eight years ago.

It would only add to his return.

If he reappears chiseled and menacing, it'll add legitimacy to a potential feud and help with Lesnar's angle going forward.

I can just hear Michael Cole saying:

"Look at Lesnar. He looks as mean and chiseled as he did eight years ago"

That would be a great use of his time away from WWE programming and a great way to bring back more of his former presence.

I'm not a fan of the way the WWE has Lesnar dominating the primary story lines on a part-time schedule. But for the sake of one-off action, he and Triple H would put on a great show.
