Preakness 2012 Odds: Updated Betting Odds for Every Horse on Saturday

Jesse ReedJun 7, 2018

The 2012 Preakness Stakes is going to be an exciting race, and I have the updated betting odds for every horse that's entered the competition for Saturday's main event.

There are a few things that pop out right away when you look at the odds.

Bodemeister is the favorite to win this race, even though I'll Have Another beat him at the Kentucky Derby. That shouldn't surprise anyone, though, as the Preakness is 1/16-of-a-mile shorter than the Derby—exactly the same distance that caused Bodemeister to lose the last race.

I'll Have Another is being given the same kind of treatment at the Preakness that Union Rags was given at the Derby. He's sitting right behind Bodemeister as one of the heavy favorites to win the second leg of the Triple Crown.

One of the biggest shocks of the race comes from the owners of Union Rags, who have pulled him out of the race, per ESPN.

Trainer Michael Matz said, "It's a long year and I just don't think it's necessary to bring him back in two weeks if he doesn't have a chance at the Triple Crown."

That just leaves more room for I'll Have Another to maneuver for his second Triple Crown race.

Here are the latest odds for every single horse that's entered the Preakness, according to GoHorseBetting.com.
