New York Jets Are Only Logical Choice for HBO's Hard Knocks

There's not a better NFL team to be featured on HBO's Hard Knocks than the New York Jets. 

They've got a boisterous head coach Rex Ryan, who's never afraid to voice is opinion. Mark Sanchez is a GQ quarterback that's taken heat from NYC media in the past, but has advanced to two AFC championship games early in his career. Can't forget the most polarizing athlete in sports—Tim Tebow—who's now on the roster. 

Oh yeah, and they were already on the series in 2010. 

It's a no brainer—for both sides.

Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reported that the Jets are one of a handful of teams still in consideration for the popular series. 

While there are other teams with potentially intriguing storylines, but no club garners more nationwide attention than the Jets and only Giants play in as big of media market. 

Whether you believe the Tebow signing was purely to create buzz with the New York Giants coming off another Super Bowl win or if it was to bring an interesting wrinkle to their occasionally vapid offense, Tebow certainly adds a compelling dimension to the always captivating Gang Green. 

Most teams don't like giving inside access to sound and camera crews, but back in 2010, the Jets welcomed it. 

There's going to be a media frenzy during the season regardless of what New York does during training camp, so they might as well play into what Tebow, Ryan and Sanchez offer in terms of publicity, and do the show this summer. 

If anything, they could use Hard Knocks as a platform to send a clear message to fans and the rest of the league that they aren't a circus act and mean business—and get a little notoriety in the process.
