It’s Friday and that means a new episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown!
With Over the Limit approaching fast, things are certainly heating up. As of this writing, the company has only confirmed a tag team main event for this week’s show.
As SmackDown draws near, here are a few more things to consider going into the show.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
The Chickbusters No More: What’s Next for A.J. and Kaitlyn
A.J. and Kaitlyn were both a part of the third season of NXT. Kaitlyn ultimately won the competition while A.J. came in third. A few months after the season ended, the two Divas began to team up, calling themselves the Chickbusters.
They teamed throughout 2011 and when A.J. began to fall in love with Daniel Bryan during the summer, they stayed intact.
After Bryan lost the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania he dumped A.J., blaming her for the loss. A few weeks later, Kaitlyn tried to comfort her best friend, but it resulted in A.J. slapping her across the face.
Last week A.J. apologized, but after Kaitlyn told her to cut out the “pity party,” she slapped her again, this time knocking her to the ground.
What’s next for the former Chickbusters? Will they meet one-on-one in the ring to settle their differences?
We’re Not Worthy: Will Damien Sandow Make His In-Ring Debut?
For weeks Damien Sandow has been appearing on out screens. Denouncing today’s pop culture, he would inform us of his virtues and how he would teach us to be better.
Last week as Derrick Bateman stood in the ring, his opponent was revealed to be Sandow. The virtuous superstar was to make his in-ring debut, but he called the match off. He believed that the WWE Universe would neither learn nor benefit from seeing him face Bateman.
Sandow walked out, and Bateman got Ryback instead.
Will Damien Sandow wrestle this week? If so, who is worthy enough in his eyes to face him?
A Giant Humbled: Will Big Show’s Conflict with Laurinaitis Affect His Intercontinental Title Hopes?
Before WrestleMania, Cody Rhodes began screwing around with the Big Show. He would show the many embarrassing moments the World’s Largest Athlete endured at the grandest stage of them all.
As a result, then-general manager Teddy Long granted him a match with Rhodes at WrestleMania XXVIII with the Intercontinental Championship on the line. Big Show finally got his WrestleMania moment when he took the title away from Rhodes that night.
For the next few weeks, Big Show would gain some more revenge by showing the match result over and over again.
Rhodes received his rematch at Extreme Rules in a tables match which he won by default. When Big Show stepped on a table and broke it, the referee counted it and awarded the match to Rhodes. Big Show snapped and dismantled the champion post-match.
The angry giant may have been humbled on Monday, though. Not only did Rhodes walk out of their rematch, Big Show was forced by Eve to apologize twice to John Laurinaitis for making fun of his voice.
Will this conflict with the general manager get in the way of Big Show’s proper rematch? If so, what does Big Johnny have in store for him?
Sheamus and Randy Orton vs. Alberto Del Rio and Chris Jericho
After WrestleMania former WWE champion Alberto Del Rio made his return from injury. John Laurinaitis quickly booked him in a match with world champion Sheamus. If Del Rio won, then he’d receive a shot at the title.
After Del Rio won and Sheamus retained his title at Extreme Rules, the Mexican superstar was named as the next in line for the World Heavyweight Championship.
The match was made for Over the Limit, but everything changed this past Monday on Raw.
In a tag team match featuring Sheamus and Randy Orton vs. Del Rio and Chris Jericho, Jericho pinned the champion. He demanded a title match but so did Orton as Sheamus hit him with a Brogue Kick.
As Del Rio and Sheamus entered into Laurinaitis’ office, a brawl ensued. The general manager then added Orton and Jericho to the match at Over the Limit, making it a fatal-four way match.
This week on SmackDown, the WWE Universe will see a rematch from Raw.
What will happen between these four combustible elements as they enter the ring again?
With Over the Limit drawing closer, this week’s SmackDown could be quite good as the WWE builds up to the show.
Will it be? Tune in to find out!
