Preakness 2012: Complete Guide to Second Leg of Triple Crown

Brian MaziqueJun 7, 2018

The Preakness Stakes is set to begin in Baltimore, and it is the second leg of the Triple Crown in horse racing. Kentucky Derby winner I’ll Have Another will attempt to take the second jewel of horse racing’s trifecta at Pimlico.

He overcame 15-1 odds at Churchill Downs, and the task at Pimlico will be formidable as well.

Here are the details on the race, TV coverage and picks.

My Pick

Bodemeister’s was a bullet out of the gate at the Kentucky Derby. He held the early lead before I’ll Have Another was able to close on him and claim the victory.

In the shorter Preakness Stakes, the field won’t have time to catch Bodemeister. I think he wins the Preakness by a wide margin.
