Little League Video: Watch 6-Year-Old Pull off Amazing Unassisted Triple Play
We have your web gem of the day, but it takes place far from the major league diamond.
In fact, I will go ahead and paint a supposed picture happening behind the camera of this wonderful triple play that gave me a smile and a sigh of "Awwwwwww" this morning. Yes, I reacted to this video in the same way I did a panda sneezing or Kwame Brown trying to play basketball.
This is a Little League game and the only thing we know about it is the hero's name, via YouTube:
"The shortstop, Ross, pulling off an unassisted triple play at NYO."
Let me fill in the rest of the picture with gross assumptions about Little League that are pretty much universal.
There is surely one dad behind the fence wanting to know why the umpire is trying to cheat his son. On the right side of the field, deep into where right field should be, there is a kid we call Kevin, and he is picking his nose.
Shouts of "Kevin, stop picking your nose" come from the stands to no avail.
Treats from the snack bar include hot dogs, hamburgers and chili billies (a concoction that is one part Fritos in their bag, and one part chili beans poured on top).
A mom is laying out the snacks for the post-game celebration and it includes, in a perfect world, Squeeze-Its, Gushers and hot dogs from the snack bar.
With that, we can now relax and enjoy this man among kids named Ross pull off a sick triple play without any help at all.
Follow me on Twitter and we can talk Squeeze-Its.
