Su'a Cravens: Power Ranking 5-Star Recruit's Top 5 Suitors

Edwin WeathersbyJun 5, 2018

Vista Murrieta (Ca.) 5-star prospect Su'a Cravens is one of the very elite high school football players in the country.

A two-way standout, Cravens could realistically see himself line up at safety, running back, outside linebacker or receiver in college.

The 6'1", 205-pound athlete has a ton of offers, and his recruitment has been ever the fluid situation. However, Cravens recently announced his final five schools and the date that he'll announce his choice.

For this read, I'm going to power-rank all five final schools for Cravens.

5. Nebraska

1 of 5

Big Red is a finalist for Cravens, as the talented prospect likes Nebraska some.

The Cornhuskers haven't done too hot in recruiting recently, but landing a player like Cravens would be a huge coup for Bo Pelini.

Nebraska is a finalist for Cravens, but out of all five, they appear to have the slimmest chance. That being said, don't rule out a trip to Nebraska before Cravens makes his decision, which could surge Big Red in front.

4. Ohio State

2 of 5

The Buckeyes are another Big Ten school that is on Cravens' radar.

He'd be an elite player for Ohio State soon, as it's well documented that the Buckeyes need more speed, quickness and athleticism on the roster, which Cravens has a ton of.

Urban Meyer and his staff are going to have to really hustle for Cravens, but he likely will take a trip to OSU before he makes his choice.

3. Michigan

3 of 5

The Wolverines have the top recruiting class in the country right now according to Scout.com, so Cravens has to know that he will be joining a top-notch class should he sign with Big Blue.

A trip to the Midwest to see Michigan, Ohio State and Nebraska is a possibility. If Brady Hoke and his staff can get Cravens on campus, this could be a tough option to turn down for Cravens.

With the way Michigan is recruiting these days, they have to be viewed as a major threat by all other four teams on his list.

2. UCLA

4 of 5

UCLA has surged up Cravens' list. The high school star has taken many unofficial trips to Westwood throughout the process.

Cravens recently told Greg Biggins of Scout.com: "I like both local schools a lot."

With him being from Los Angeles, UCLA offers Cravens a chance to stay close to home and play in front of his friends and family for four more years.

The Bruins could also offer him the best chance at playing time as a true freshman.

1. USC

5 of 5

USC has been considered the favorite for Su'a Cravens for nearly the entire time he's been on the recruiting radar.

It's widely known that he was a Trojan fan as a kid, USC has been recruiting him hard, and that other top prospects have spoken to him about joining them at SC. It's also close to home.

Even Cravens' mother digs USC. He told Scout.com: "(My mother) has always wanted me to go to USC."

It's important to note that Cravens is making his decision on his mother's birthday, June 6.

That's a good sign for USC. It'll be a shock if he announced for somewhere else.
