The Weirdest Sports Couples You Probably Forgot About

It was the eloquent Floyd Mayweather Jr. who recently stated, "Somebody who says, 'Beauty is only skin deep,' a ugly [expletive] made that up."

While surely inspirational stuff, the comment made us question the forgotten couples in sports, those who flooded every crevice of the tabloids with their strange habits.

As we review these odd and perhaps unlikely pairs, we're reminded of just how weird the entire world of sports truly is.

15. Michelle Wie and Robin Lopez

Phoenix center Robin Lopez is officially the most interesting man in the world.

His charm is so contagious, vaccines have been created for it.

A young golf phenom by the name of Michelle Wie certainly thought so.

14. Tim Couch and Heather Kozar

Aside from the obvious wardrobe malfunction, these two seem like quite the pleasant couple.

But NFL bust Tim Couch and Playboy playmate Heather Kozar seem like polar opposites at second glance.

Looks like the former Browns failure came out a winner.

We give Chris Webber plenty of credit for withstanding the roar of the host of America's Next Top Model.

Hopefully this was just a ferocious wrestling match gone bad, because Whitesnake video vixen Brawny Tawny got the best of ex-husband Chuck Finley.

She whooped the former pitcher's posterior.

Apparently Metta World Peace isn't the only rebel in the Lakers' organization.

Executive Jeanie Buss, daughter of Lakers owner Jerry Buss, obviously has no issues mixing business with pleasure.

Few marriages matched the Kardashian-Humphries union as far as hilariousness, but Rodman-Electra set the tone for high-publicity fails.

They spent less than four months together, clogged with domestic disturbance and craziness.

While he does appear to be the second coming of Jonah Hill (or perhaps the first coming), film director Brett Ratner certainly had the resume to back the smile.

2. Monica Seles and Tom Golisano

This eery relationship reeks of nausea.

That same Monica Seles who was stabbed on the court in '93 has been getting cozy with former Buffalo Sabres co-owner Tom Golisano since '09.

She might as well call him grandpa.

1. Dwyane Wade and Star Jones

We can only pray that Flash and Star Jones truly were making "Miami Heat," because this is utterly amazing. 

Gabrielle Union seems only a slight improvement from the then-46-year-old Jones.
