WWE News: Alleged Reason Behind Goldust's Termination
Earlier this week, the WWE Universe heard rumors that WWE wrestler-turned-backstage agent/consultant Dustin "Goldust" Rhodes was terminated from his contract.
It wasn't until a few days later that the rumors were finally confirmed, but only now has the alleged reason behind his firing—which is said to stem from a botched move on SmackDown—come to light.

From F4Wonline.com (via WrestlingInc.com):
"The belief is that Goldust was responsible for coming up with the spot on SmackDown where Yoshi Tatsu took a double-team powerbomb finisher from Darren Young and Titus O'Neil. Tatsu landed bad and the bump was said to look even worse live than it did on TV.
Young and O'Neil were not in action on the May 4th SmackDown but did work this week's tapings, using a different finishing move.
"
Even if this were the case, it's hard to believe that Rhodes would get canned for a move he didn't personally botch. It seems more likely that the WWE may have been looking for a reason to let him go, and found the perfect reason to do exactly that.
The fact is, we may never know the true reason behind the firing. Lets face it, rumors are rumors and until Rhodes or the WWE make a statement, there will only be speculation.
Obviously, Rhodes is talented and capable of helping younger stars hone their skills. For that reason, he will hopefully be picked up by another company, such TNA, ROH or another Indy promotion soon.
Wherever he winds up, chances are this will not be the last we see of Rhodes in the WWE.
