WWE Raw "Weekly 27": Laurinaitis Nostalgia, WHC Match Changed, Heyman Returns
When I wrote for another company, I had a weekly Raw article called "Yes, No, Maybe." Now, in original B/R fashion, I'm debuting a modification of that article, now called "Weekly 27." Feel free to share your Raw thoughts, and call in live on the Pancakes and Powerslams wrestling talk show Tuesday nights at 11 p.m. ET. Here we go!
This week's Raw didn't seem to gel that well. The emphasis should be on building a more anticipated Over the Limit card, and the episode failed to do so as a whole. Maybe it boils down to genuinely not having enough time to build when pay-per-views are only three weeks from each other without giving the WWE Universe redundancy.

Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Here is this episode's "Weekly 27":
- Nice nostalgic AJPW pics. R.I.P. "Doctor Death" Steve Williams and Terry "Bam Bam" Gordy.
- Now we know why his voice is raspy, and somehow it has turned into a storyline. OK, I guess.
- I've never seen CM Punk advocate Cena so much.
- Cody Rhodes loses by count-out. Decent way to extend the feud, but it should have been over.
- Looks like Mason Ryan may be a member of "A.W.E." I tell you...Ryan and those stables. Seems like some weird fetish to me.
- Good to see Maxine on Raw. And for the record, NXT isn't that bad.
- Natalya needs a direction—fast.
- So Beth is OK now? Typical WWE writing.
- Eve/Big Show segment. Total waste of time.
- Dolph Ziggler pins Kofi Kingston. Good win for Dolph, but Kofi and Truth just won the titles. Too early to job.
- John Cena interview. Admittedly, he knows how to cut promos, but this one didn't do anything to help the angle.
- Jericho wins!
- Future Orton and Sheamus feud? Possibly Summerslam? Who turns heel?
- My suggestion to No. 12: Sheamus. He is getting more boos every week. Character getting stale.
- However, it's about time for a Randy Orton heel turn, too. He should be the babyface vs. Sheamus, though.
- The tag match was great. Definitely pay-per-view worthy. Anyone remember when the title wasn't defended at every PPV, and tag matches further built storylines? Well, those days are over.
- The match changed to Fatal Four Way. Good way to throw in Jericho and Orton.
- Cameron and Noami...Funkadelics?
- Poor Miz. Now a victim of Brodus Clay's "Funk-a-list."
- I don't see anything bright for Miz anytime soon.
- At least he didn't get squashed. He left the match with at least some dignity.
- Wow. Good to see Paul Heyman back. One time only? We shall see.
- Still one of the best ever on the mic. So captivating.
- "Brock Lesnar Quits." Clearly a storyline.
- Laurinaitis makes the main event a handicap match; pretty much foretold the ending.
- Lord Tensai gets the pin. Enough already.
- The WWE's attempt to diffuse the "Yes" craze may be working. Daniel Bryan is getting more heat now, and people are actually chanting "No."
