Better Fantasy Football Option: Andrew Luck or RG3?
Indianapolis’ Andrew Luck and Washington’s Robert Griffith III will forever be compared because they went No. 1 and 2 in the 2012 NFL draft.
While I think they will both be solid fantasy options, in both the long term and short term, there will be a decision to make on the quarterbacks in both dynasty and re-draft leagues.
All that said, whom do I prefer?

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
I like what both quarterbacks bring to the table. Andrew Luck is more athletic than a lot of people give him credit for, and RG3 is a better passer than a lot of people give him credit for. Both quarterbacks will be capable of producing with their arms and their feet.
Both have the mental makeup to be quality NFL quarterbacks. Not only do they have what it takes upstairs to learn complex NFL offenses, but they have the mental toughness to deal with the challenges that come with their teams being in the position they were to draft them in the first place.
However, of the two, I prefer RG3.
For starters, he is not replacing a legend. Sure, Washington has a great heritage, but it hasn’t had a quality starting quarterback in years.
Meanwhile, Luck is replacing a legend as well as an institution. Perhaps no quarterback in NFL history had as much to do with the success of a team as Peyton Manning did.
Is Luck equipped to deal with that kind of pressure? Sure, but it won’t be easy. Plus, their team was built to play in Manning’s offense so it will take some time to make the transition.
RG3 probably has a little better weapons than Luck. Reggie Wayne is getting older and Washington ironically signed away Pierre Garcon from the Colts. Fred Davis was coming on last year prior to his suspension. If he makes the team, Santana Moss could bounce back in the slot receiver role.
In re-draft leagues I definitely prefer the Heisman winner over Luck. I still give RG3 the edge in dynasty leagues, but it’s close. Who do you prefer in the short a long terms?
